Latest Check-Ins

We had to pull in just at dark. Exhausted. Did not camp in the big turn out as it was clearly marked “NO CAMPING” so we perched just off the road a little ways further in. Not ideal. Good enough to stay overnight. Left early. Not flat. Not ideal. Nobody else in the area at all. Do not go past the big open area in anything but a 4x4 - no trailer - the road washes out at tje bottom and good luck turning around.

Lovely spot, but there are brand new "No overnight camping or parking" signs

2 RVs were at this location when we arrived in the evening. Nice quiet spot. The road in is bad, but big enough for medium sized RVs.

Nice spot to explore Tahoe from. Easy access, cell service. Slight road noise from highway below.

Report Check-In

A large mountain side sanded lot for Camping that takes you up off the highway away from the noise campfires are not recommended at this place as it is fragile those stoves are permitted

Report Check-In

A nice spot. Flat. Highways on either side in the distance. We drove our Jeep Grand Cherokee and 17’ NOBO trailer up here without issue.

Report Check-In

Large, flat area for dispersed camping just off of King Canyon rd. Quiet, ok cell service (2 bars Verizon LTE).

Locals were adamant to be aware of bears in this area and time of year (late fall) and we know of a couple who had their locked van broken in to by a hungry bear last year... so keep food secure. The road up to this site is fine, but if you keep going it gets treacherous (possibly not passable without a lifted, 4wd off road vehicle, according to locals).
