If you don't have nothing to declare, after immigration and passport checks just go to the white container to pay the Cross border charge for the car (295 N for a sedan, can pay with rands), which document you must keep till the end of your visit. Didn't ask for the Namibia permit of our vehicle, but yes they did at the exit of SA (Nakop border).

Everyone was quite helpful and friendly, it was after midnight by the time I cleared the border. I asked customs if I could pull up near the parked trucks to sleep the rest of the night, they said ‘no problem’
