Well signposted from Ambiseli Nat Park side. We had a great stay, 10km from park. Sat in the Lapa as it was windy, they made us a fire. Hot showers and clean toilets. 1500pppn for camping. Canvas tents available. Tame blue duiker roaming the camp.
They also have canvas tents available. Staff very friendly.

This camp site is great, but unfortunately, we had a really bad experience. We booked by airbnb, because it was impossible to reach them by any means (email, Facebook, phone). We paid on the app before coming. When we wanted to leave, he told us that he didn't get the money. We showed him that we paid, but he wanted more (in fact, the settings were not good on Airbnb. On the app, he asked us 20usd, for the group.) We were not ok to pay more, because we thought it was the good price (it is not our fault if the settings are wrong). When we decided it was time to go, he threatened us by saying he would call his team if we did. Basically we were held hostage. When we told him that we could call the police, he told us to do it because : "he knows them". In the end, we decided the safest option was to find a compromise and we payed a part of what he asked (all this time, we were in contact with Airbnb who were on our side). We understand he felt like this wasn't right, but it was his fault and the way he handled the situation was absolutely not normal.

Also, just so you know : "busurucollins" who made a great review on ioverlanders (14-02-2022) is the guy who threatened us!

It is in fact a great place (beautiful landscapes and, except the manager (Collins), a very friendly staff), but be sure to know the right price at arrival!

This is a great campsite! We parked under the tree, the place is very spacious and the people so kind! For a little fee they let us use the kitchen and we loves the view as well. Grace is the one you need to call in advance or at a closed gate. She is great and also very company to talk about the area and the good work they are doing there as well as a mentorships for children in the area and supporting them to go to school. We also got wood to make a fire. Toilet and shower were superclean and very welcome after more wild camping. Highly recommended! Grace phone number is: 00254736389044

(Bush)Camp outside the tented camp area. We saw zebras and heard hyenas in the night. There are clean showers (hot) and basic toilets in the area inside (one western toilet without flush next to the fireplace).
Staff was very friendly and they provided a little bit of firewood (more we bought from them). Price is 1000ksh pppn

Report Check-In

There is a sign at the road so finding the camp is very easy. Giraffe in camp and Hyena nearby. Otherwise as described. Good place if you want facilities as well as camp in the bush.

Very difficult to find..no sign on the road. the track to the camp very washed out..hard to imagine there is a camp at the end :)…put we got a positiv suprise once we arrived..everything simpel and clean..no drinks no food..fast internet though..
1000ksh is fine the asked for more bit not worth compared to other camps
We stayed a night and headed for ambroseli early morning hours …

Add:
The owner/manager should train their staff ( nightguard) not to stand for hours next to ones vehicle tent and even ask for money or something at deparure

A beautiful place to camp. Great facilities with bonfires. Security check, Lavatories check.

The camp is currently known as Olndonyo Musa camp. The camping fee is 1000Ksh for adults and 500 for kids. One can pitch their tents on their cars or on concrete slaps made on the camping site. It is solar-powered and has a spacious gazebo with several sockets and WiFi. The low-lying lights along the pavement from the gazebo towards the camping site are breathtaking at night. The camp has three flushing toilets, two pit latrines, and 4 open bathrooms (without roof) with both hot and cold water. Imagine showering whilst enjoying the beautiful view of Mt Kilimanjaro!

The stay was great. They had a welcoming staff. The lavatories are were clean with constant water. I met Ruth - 0769046421 the camp manager who helped me settle in.
Experienced early morning game walks filled with giraffes and antelopes. Such an amazing place to be, I'd definitely be back for valentine's.

Avoid this place. If there is more than one party on the campsite, you will have zero privacy because all the sites are close together and there are no walls, bushes or trees between the sites. The men toilet has no toilet seat. There are no wash basins and no mirrors in the ablutions. If you want to brush your teeth or wash your face, you have to do it on the freestanding sink centrally located on the campground (in front of all). The shower has no roof. We had 15 degrees and there was a wind blowing so it was extremely cold in the shower.

I could accept all that, but the other campsites in this area charge 500, 800 or 1000 KES per adult per night. Here they want to charge 2000 KES - highly overpriced and totally unjustified. We arrived very late and didn't want to move to another campsite in total darkness, so we accepted for one night. I offered 4000 KES for a second night (2 adults plus 2 kids). Wasn't enough. So we moved to Kimana Community Campsite.

The camp is currently known as Olndonyo Musa camp. Not only does the place offer concrete or earth grounds, running water and security to private campers, it also offers the same but with tents to those without. It has both solar energy and a back up generator just in case. Has a spacious gazebo with several sockets and WiFi. The low lying lights along the pavement from the gazebo towards the camping site are breathtaking at night. The camp has two flushing toilets, one pit latrine and 4 open bathrooms (without roof) with both hot and cold water. Imagine showering whilst enjoying the beautiful view of Mt Kilimanjaro! Oh! did I mention the bonfire place?
Reach out to Ruth (0715368636) for a memorable camping experience. I'm planning to revisit the camp soon enough.

My stay was amazing. The bathrooms were clean. I heard hyaenas cry at night. There are hot and cold showers. During the morning hours, Mount Kilimanjaro is a sight for sore eyes. The tents made my stay enjoyable and wild. I saw a few wild animals making my stay adventurous.
