Zambia
A taste of South Africa. Lodge geared towards SA tiger fishing, prices quoted in RSA and conveyed to kwacha. A peaceful and beautiful spot overlooking the Zambezi. Was rainy season when we came so we had the place to ourselves. To get here follow a long sandy trail from the main road. K80 pppn plus K30 for firewood. Nice chalets for K420 pn.

Nice grass and shade for camping. Basic but functional ablutions with hot water (donkey). Great view over the river from a wooden platform.
Report Check-InA very nice campsite on the river with all the amenities except electricity. Large shady trees so one needs to park carefully to get sun on dolar panels. We could stay two nights. Hot water showers at night and in the mornings. We enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly. One can ask for a pocket wifi “dongle”
Report Check-InStayed for two nights in a chalet, en-suite, directly on the river for 650kw per night. Very comfortable, with a fully equipped communal kitchen and services such as laundry are available. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful, I would definitely stay here again.
Report Check-InA great stopover for a couple of night. Kenister and staff were excellent. Stayed in a chalet right on the river. 650kw. Beautiful, rustic lovely hot shower. Recommend highly.
Report Check-InNice and shady campsite on green grass next to the Zambezi River. Very peaceful setting. Nice viewing deck. Kenister very friendly and helps where he can.
Had a lovely boat trip around the Kabula and Buffalo island with Pieter, the owner.
Long way in, maybe not good during rainseason as many patches are black cotton soil. Otherwise sandy, but no 4x4 needed.
No electricity, water comes from the river or a borehole.
Price now 135 Kw ppn, Firewood bundle for 45 KW
Lovely campsite. Warm welcome from Peter and Kennister. Stayed 2 nights. Good place before or after border crossing. We had a wonderful few hours ‘fishing’ with Kennister. Had the campsite to ourselves. Pd ZMK130pppn. Boat ZMK400p/hr. Recommended.
Report Check-InGreat grass campsites also chalets. Hot showers and good toilets. well run with small bar at stunning deck on the Zambezi river. Tiger fishing good R300 per hour for boat. No WiFi or restaurant . Wood available. We stayed again after Liuwa.
Report Check-InNice campsite with a lot of trees and green grass. There is not a very good view on the river from the campsite but you can enjoy the view from a nice deck. Simple but good ablutions. Very friendly manager. They also offer boat tours! Good stopover on the way to Vic falls or Liuwa plains.
Report Check-InThe access road from the main road is very narrow, all cars wider than a normal Landrover or similar will get scratches. not possible for us to get in, so not big rig friendly.
