Busy Walmart. Open until 11pm. Loads of trucks park here as well as RV’s. Signs of no overnight camping clearly not enforced. You can take bus 320 right from edge of parking lot to Port Authority on Manhattan for $4.25 one way. Bathroom inside.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is a really big Wal-Mart in a box store mall. Quite a few others were parked here. Plenty of garbage cans. It wasn't the quietest Wal-Mart, but it was good for night.
Report Check-InStayed here for 2 nights with no problems, plenty of semis parked in the far back. Bus stop right in the plaza, we left our van parked all day while visiting NYC on bus 320 to Port Authority, which takes you right near Times Square. Costs $4.25.
If you plan on taking this route, keep in mind they do not accept cash on the way back to the Walmart. You need to buy a ticket from the kiosk!!!
Got there late, around 10pm, just in time to buy groceries before closure at 11pm. Parking lot full of customers even at this late hour. When we got out, we saw few trucks in corner of parking lot in front of Sam’s Club. We went to see and there was « no overnight parking » signs everyone. We talk to a trucker and he said there was no problem to sleep here. We spent the night without any issues.
Report Check-InSome sketchy people walking around at 3am but was not bothered. A bunch of other cars here overnight. Would stay again
Report Check-InStayed two nights no issue but moved during the day. Walmart is NOT 24 hours as previously mentioned (6a-11p now). No other bathrooms in the immediate area. Some noise from other camped rigs/RVs and Walmart traffic but not bad.
Report Check-InMuch like what everyone else said. No overnight parking signs are not enforced. Lots of truckers, RVs and vans parked here for the night. The parking lot had a lot of trash but worked well for the night. Had difficulty finding a spot for our dogs to use the bathroom (no grass) - guess they’re picky 🙄
Report Check-InNice welcoming place to stay the night. We stayed here in a camper parked by many other campers and trucks. We even ran our generator as well. Bus stop in parking lot very convenient.
Report Check-InWe stay here for 4 nights, no problems with security, little bit noisy, but very good spot to visit NY with bis 320, toilets 24/7..
Report Check-InThere were lots of big rigs, RVs, and locals. Lots of choices of where to park, out in the lights under the security cameras, or in the rear lot tucked between the shipping containers. I chose the latter. I had no problems and it got the job done. I just spent the night and paid the $14 lot fee + $18RT ferry to take the ferry into the city for the day. There is an open lot next to the harbor ferry where you can park tall RVs that can't fit into parking garages. The morning commute in was exciting, I personally wouldn't attempt it in anything larger than a Class B.
Report Check-InI left my van (dodge grand caravan) for 3 nights while I was in a hostel in NYC, and it was NOT towed! I can't make promises for yours, this is my experience.
Report Check-InI have just spent the night here, no problem at all, others van and RV parked.
