Amazing as usual! Resort was full, easily over 50%capacity, all riverside sites were taken yes it still was quiet and relaxing! Well worth visiting if you haven’t yet

Bush camp is now permanently close.
It’s 405 for two people now.
To expensive for us, we didn’t stay.

Amazing Resort, Facilities are well maintained, clean ablutions and plenty of variety in terms of sites with 180 sites to choose from. Lovely kids play area but the put put could do with an upgrade. disappointed that the shop times were not available anywhere and once they did open the variety was very little so don't count on it.

will still definitely return.

Good access, also suitable for BigRig. The entrance gate is about 4m high. Very clean and very well organized campsite. There are at least some pitches under tall trees that are also suitable for larger vehicles (8x2.4x3.8m). The campsite is idyllically situated on the "Berg Rivier", which ripples along happily all year round. Ideal location for visiting wineries.

Really nice camp spot near a river. During the week it's empty and relaxed, during weekends a lot of families and groups of friends.

Enough private spots and the place is well maintained by the lovely staff.

Report Check-In

very many people, dirty pool, noise long into the night.

We visited in the middle of Winter so there were very few people staying here. Cost was R200 per night for a powered caravan site and if we stayed 3 mid week days we got the fourth night free. The ablution block number 5 was a bit outdated and because there weren’t many people staying I think they were a bit lazy in keeping them clean. Three mornings in a row the same cigarette stub was on the shower window sill. It was however a nice quiet place to stay.

Nice (large) place with grassy, shady pitches on shallow river frontage. Also pitches away from river under trees. All well maintained. Large pool (busy at weekends) and small cafe / tuck shop / bar. Not cheap @ peak season. Weekends = 410 Rand per pitch (although they have us a deal during the week i.e. 210 for car and 2 people). Nice people. Lovely views of the mountains.

Paid R100 on a holiday Easter weekend for a campsite with my motorcycle; paid 75R a few days later after the holiday weekend was over. During the Easter weekend, they wouldn't allow motorcycles into the campground and I had to park the bike at the gate and walk in. After the rush was over, they allowed me to bring the bike in. Nice camp sites with lots of trees, nice bathroom facilities. Quiet place, even for a holiday weekend.
