4-5 campground spots next to summit trailhead. It says 6$ a night but there’s nowhere to pay it, at least in winter. A little highway noise, but very pretty. Trailers and RVs could make it down the dirt road but not a lot of room at the campsites themselves.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed one night after visiting the north unit of TRNP. Vault toilet was clean. Quiet except for the highway noise. Nice trails accessed near the information board. Easy dirt road. Good TMobile service.
Report Check-InSuper emplacement, gratuit (on n'a pas vu de prix affiché et pas de box pour payer), avec toilette, table de pique-nique et barbecue. On était seuls. Super calme même si proche de la route. Parfait !
Report Check-InJust as described. We came in during a storm and there was only one other person here. We had a peaceful nice rest. We would stay here again.
Report Check-InDecent little spot for an overnighter, in the national grassland, just outside of the national park. Three "real" spots plus a couple walk-in sites. Several vehicles pulled in and passed through, I was the only one to spend the night. Pit toilet, no trash, no fee. Take the trail just a bit west of the trailhead for an excellent sunset view.
Report Check-Innice little campground with 3 shaded tables and fire pits. 2 walk in tent sites with fire pits and tables in the valley. vault toilet, no trash. no mention of a fee that I saw. seems most people use it as a reststop. lots of road noise. 3-4 bars tmobile and verizon. beware of field mice.
There is a trail that goes to a nice overlook with a bench and a longer trail that goes i dont know where. only indicator of trail is wooden trail markers.
Report Check-InAs described, except no more mention of a fee so I guess they gave up trying to collect fees. New “Campground Rules” sign is the only thing on the board. Also, all picnic tables are now under a ramada.
Report Check-InSmall, quite campground (3 spots). Flat parking, table , fire ring. Some road noise, but good for 1 night while passing through.
Report Check-InEasy place for the night in the area if you want service. Fire pit pit toilet and picnic table 3 sites plus right next to each other and I’d assume a tent one in the trees across the road. Kinda close to the road but I couldn’t hear anything in the van. Nice trail right here too the doggos loved it! Still 6$ with no place to pay🤷♂️
Report Check-InOne of my favorite camping spots hands down. Decent service on T-Mobile so was able to work here.
Highly recommended place to stay for the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park!
Report Check-InOne of my favorite camping spots hands down. As others commented, the signage mentions a fee but there is no where to place it.
Highly recommended camping spot for visiting the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park!
Report Check-InTwo bars T-Mobile LTE without booster. Pets must be on leash. Pretty nice campground, pit toilet. Do not see where to pay the $6 a night. Bathroom is full of flies, late summer.
