Campsite at the top of the mountain, Wild and quiet. $15/night, half off with senior or disability national park passes.
Seasonal closure for snow - it's up high and the road would be dangerous if icy.
Nice place to overnight - tight switch backs so need a small rig.

Price Canyon is most definitely NOT permanently closed - I was there in October. Has a seasonal closure due to snow. https://www.blm.gov/visit/price-canyon-recreation-area
Report Check-InI've camped here in transit to Moab several times - nice loop high above hwy 6. As of 2.26.24 the description 'permanently closed' is totally inaccurate. There is a seasonal closure for snow: https://www.blm.gov/visit/price-canyon-recreation-area. Road is full of tight switch backs and I would not consider it big rig friendly. Great for vans/tents.
Report Check-InNice place, way good for all vehicles.
Little trail to the hills with amazing overview. Very quiet. No water, pit toilet.
Place as described, definitely open. Nice hiking trail up the ridge with sweeping views all around. Quiet, isolated, 1 to 2 bars of Verizon.
Report Check-InFYI as of 2021 This site is now $15/night.
Half price for folks with senior or disability national passes.
Pit toilets are clean. Not really cell service at the campground, but I could get data at the edge of the viewpoint/picnic area.
Report Check-InNice campground at top of twisty road. Fine for moderate sized RVs but not many level spots to park. Got last site on Friday evening.
Report Check-InBeautiful & serene. Maybe 15-20 min drive from the highway. 12 camp sites. I was the only one occupied. Very quiet. Good place for an overnight or longer.
