Out of the way and quiet.
There is a detection of INVASIVE species, a simple sign has been put up to notify the population. decontamination required of all equipment prior to entering the water and when done. It's deserted and abandoned, no maintenance of toilets and trash cans.
Great cell service
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
stayed one night.
was very quiet, only one truck drove through in the evening then went and parked near the entrance.
the invasive species sign is warning you yo be aware of the invasive species and to decontaminate all watercrafts and equipment so as not to spread to other bodies of water as well as bring others in.
it is always good practice to do so after every use.
there was a TON of bugs, but they were not interested in me, and so long as i didnt have lights on when opening my door, it was fine.
beautiful sunset over the marshy feild behind!
fell asleep to the waves laping at the shore.
if you can get over the bugs, its a beautiful spot.
wish more people cleaned up tho!
Il y a une détection d'espèces ENVAHISSANTES, une simple pancarte à été mise en place pour aviser la population. décontamination requise si baignade. C'est désert et abandonné, aucun entretien des toilettes et des poubelles.
Report Check-InReally beautiful lake with lot's of room, Bin and firepits but soooo many flys and other insects forced me to leave. Had hundreds of them in the van it was just disgusting and I couldn't enjoy it there. without the insects would be really great
Report Check-InSo nice place! 5 stars spot! The evening of our arrival the weather was perfect, we put our 4wd on the sand. Water was at 30°C. Sunset and sunrise were so beautiful. The morning we got a storm with a lot of wind.
Report Check-InBe careful with the sand. It was great, the view was amazing, but very windy
Report Check-InAwful spot. Lots of rubbish. Shallow lake no good for swimming.
If it's windy you're not going to have a good time trying to shelter.
If it's not windy you're not going to have a good time with every insect imaginable.
Really beautiful and calm, nothing around, plenty of space, the sunset and the sunrise are both amazing. Beware of the ticks !
Report Check-InWonderful beach with many fire pits (but no wood so bring your own), a few trees for cover, and a few garbage and recycle bins. Very windy but you will see wonderful sunrises over Lake Manitoba. There's a plaque at the end of the beach that says it was built by the local community with aid from the province. Looks like some of the vault toilets were deactivated but one still stands, I would not use it though.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot! Highly recommend if you’re looking to stay for a bit. Just make sure you have supplies for a few days as it looks like there’s not much around for a while. Lots of fire pits and many many camping spots. You pick whatever spot you want. Huge lake that’s very nice. Was a little windy when we showed up so the waves were nice. Very calm in the morning. Definitely recommend!
Report Check-Innice place and quiet, enough room for big RV's. Some goose as neighbors 😁
Report Check-InAmazing beach side free camping! More pictures on insta @whitespace_lifestyle . About 35 minutes from highway 16, the last 8.5km is a dirt/gravel road that is not that bad just dusty. Plenty of space to spread out. Not busy at all as it’s a little out of the way but worth it. Spending two days here as we cross Canada. Easy for large class A to turn around once you get here. The beach is very large and is sand/pebble mix. There is non flush toilets in steel shelter and fire pits on the beach. Only thing we could hear is the birds and frogs as there is a bit of a marsh on other side of the road.
Report Check-Inclean, quiet and free campground. no garbage cans so have to take the garbage with you upon leaving. only recycle bin is available.
Report Check-InIt's very windy at the moment, but it looks like a nice place in summer.
Only downer, the walls of the toilets looked like they had bullet holes in them, same as the recycling bin. Later we actually found shotgun casings...
But it's free and the view is great!
