Description

Really lovely lodge with beautiful gardens, chill out areas and hammocks and fast WiFi, $5 per person to camp.

This is a lodge of a local Community of woman in the middle of the jungle in a really beatiful location. There are bathrooms and showers. You can take tours with them, we took 3 activities that I would really recommend. They thought us how to make chocolate and local crafts and we also got a tour into the jungle, were they thought us about all the medicine plants and the animals (everything with really reasonable prices). We really enjoy and recommend this place. USD 10 per night.
Once you get to Misahualli, cross the bridge and then 1 km to the left you will find this lodge. They also have a restaurant, but we did not try. Help the locals!
The bridge from Misahualli to the lodge has a barrier at 2.50m high.

As described before, this is a really nice place in beautiful nature. We paid 10USD for two nights for the twining us and the camper. May be that’s because we had dinner there twice and bought some of their handmade stuff. They offer plenty of tours but unfortunately we weren’t able to book any with them - not sure why - couldn’t understand their explanation. Instead, take a boat across the river and book something in the village.

we really enjoy to stay here, it‘s a nice place! You will also learn more about the cultur. We visited the chocolate beens farm and did also some chocolate for us. Just great!

Un sitio rodeado de naturaleza y tranquilidad, la atención es la mejor, el costo 10 USD la noche por camper.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place and a great way to support the local community. Loved relaxing in their hammocks under the thatched roof.
They also offer lots of different activities to experience the jungle.

Report Check-In

Absolutely beautiful! Even though it was rainy, the place is charming. 10$ for camper /2 p. Stayed four nights, very interesting chocolate-tour with Sophia, good food, very reasonable prices, cold showers but refreshing in the heat and humidity, very clean everywhere. One of the best places we stayed at in Ecuador.

Report Check-In

Great place to camp while you explore the area! Good food in the restaurant... bathrooms are clean... shower was good, but they are cold. We did the chocolate experience and the Laguna tour .. both nice and reasonable prices! Wifi is decent and may reach your camper if you strategically park!

Also, please note, the bridge is no more, just a few tangled cables, no bridge platform.
Cross the river at Tena.

Light and shadow:
Yes, this is a nice place, dinner was really good and the people are friendly.
But a) activities and excursions are on the pricey side. A full-body-massage for 100 USD is not a bargain. b) we had arranged the Laguna tour with an English speaking guide for the next day. When we arrived at the agreed time, we were told, that the guide is „tired and needs to relax“. We could have done the tour in Spanish, but this was no option for us. Later we saw the guide and our impression was, that it was not attractive enough for him to do the tour with only the two of us. c) when we arrived it was explicitly confirmed that this will be an absolutely quiet place, which was true on Sunday. However, the next morning a caterpillar arrived starting some heavy construction work.
We left earlier than planned after just 1 night.

Lovely community tourism project with a beautiful lodge, delicious food and very good activities. We learned how to make chocolate (15 $ pp) and chicha (15 $ pp) and walked through the jungle (35 $ pp incl. lunch). We stayed 2 nights.

Súper nice place. It’s 5$ per person. You have showers (cold), bathroom , restaurant, and an amazing spot to park your van by the water. It’s really worth it ! we didn’t find another place to sleep nearby anyway..

Report Check-In

+ very friendly staff
+ great hang out areas (with hammocks) and good restaurant
+ really clean bathrooms
+ quiet at night

- lot of mosquitos and cucarachas
- only cold showers

We did a jungle tour from 8:30am to 1:30pm for 50$ per person. We walked around the jungle and got to know a lot about the plants and how they use them as medicine but we didn’t see any birds or other animals unfortunately. Then we took a Kajak to a close by community at the river (which was only set up for tourists, they performed a dance for us) which was not authentic at all :( all in all not really worth the money...

PERFECT PLACE. We enjoyed our three nights here very much. Clean facilities. Spacious but cold showers, which is fine for the climate. Good WiFi. Very beautiful estate with hammocks. Had dinner three times there as it is very delicious (once even during blackout). Blackouts occurred twice, each for less than 2 hrs. Went tubing & took a jungle walk with very informative guide. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

USD 10 per VAN per night.

I was here with my Dacia Dokker. One person. They insisted on 10US
I left

Report Check-In

There seems to be a misunderstanding: 10US is for one car, never mind how many people and whether the car is small or a truck.

Lovely people. Nice meal. Beautiful dining area. Lots of jungle noises at night...crickets, cicadas, frogs, birds....and nothing else! Just nature. A great place to stay. $10 for 2 of us to stay in our camper in the car park/camping area - power available.

Report Check-In

Really, really liked it here! $5 each to camp. Beautiful gardens, lovely open lodge with tables and hammocks on second floor, very fast WiFi, nice bathrooms but only cold showers. Our dog was allowed but one of the other dogs was a little vicious to him at first (they did warn us) - just be wary of that.

Report Check-In

Warmly recommended. Beautiful scenery and nice people. 5$pp, $10pp for a 3h chocolate tour. We didn‘t try the restaurant. They have a nice gift shop with. If your car is higher than 2,50m be sure to drive up on the correct side of the river, as the bridges have height restrictions. About 1km from Puerto Misahualli dock where the boats leave for tours.

Beautiful place, and really friendly.

Very nice place, I would say that they have the cleanest washrooms I came across so far on the Panamericana. Use the South road to get there, it's a brand new road, turn off from the South end of the bridge.

10 usd for 2 persons to camp. They have new showers for men and women. Activities 25 usd for each of them, so try to have a bigger group so each person pay less.

This place is very nice, a beautiful garden in the jungle, cabans in bamboo, cold shower, restrooms, restaurant, natural swimming pool. The paradise. It's the community Shini warmi project. The women are very friendly and they propose lot of activities cheaper and good (chocolate's and chicha discovery, learn handicraft...). This place is highly recommanded. 5$/day/person

This place has WRONG CORDINATES! It is in Equador.

Report Check-In

Trying to correct the location. The coordinate should be South, not North as in the original entry - Puerto Misahualli, Ecuador. Beautiful place and you get to help local community by staying here.
