Latest Check-Ins

came in the dead of winter, almost had the whole campsite to myself. in winter, only the water/electric hookup (RV) sites are available for reservation. cute place. friendly staff. easy trails. if you have an RV, the dump station is open year round. flushable toilets and hot showers only available in a few locations throughout the campsite(s) in winter.

you have to check in to the office on your first day, or as the morning after you get in. there is state police enforcing this.

nice campsites
this summer the water level at the beach is about 2 feet and rusty. If you are coming to swim it is disappointing. but the campground is nice and shaded. almost zero cell internet so bring a book

During winter, only the Meisle Field loop is open, which includes tent, trailer, enclosed heated lean-tos, and rustic cabins. Sites in this loop do not have water and electric hook-ups, although the CCC loop does have for the warmer months. Walking distance to lake and trails. Fun motorized trails and dirt roads to explore. Bathrooms include flushing toilets and showers (not in the best condition) and laundry. Fire ring and picnic table at each site. During our winter visit, it was very quiet and just a few other sites occupied. Book through camping.nj.gov. $20 resident.
