Just another Walmart. Park as respectfully as you can.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Small Walmart. went inside and asked if it was okay to park for the night and was told it was okay for 1 night.
I parked next to the main rd on the garden ctr side to not interfere with anyone. Restful night but when I got up to leave I saw what looked like a pile of Human excrement on the dirt barrier. I pray it was the homeless and not a camper but we'll probably get blamed anyway. I walked around and picked up some plastic bottles to leave the place nicer than I found it. pls do the same.
Report Check-InSimple small dirt lot adjacent the front of the building on the right... about .025 acres. Small enough for 4 large RV's. Good for motorcycle travelers if you have a tent. No issues from anyone while i was there.
Report Check-InInteresting Walmart. Very small reminds one of the neighborhood market. Have parked by the garden center. Many others have also stayed there in their cars, vans, etc. You almost feel like you are camping.
Report Check-InSpend a night here. It was nice. The road is super busy during the day but fairly quiet at night. Thank you Walmart.
Report Check-InSmall Walmart but good place in Taos to stay for the night. There were a few others staying and so it felt safe enough.
Report Check-InSmaller than a typical Supercenter, but good for the night. Manager confirmed that overnight parking was allowed on the side by the garden center. There were some vagrant types around in the evening, but nobody bothered me, and things settled down after midnight. Fine for the one night I needed.
Also, no fresh produce section in the store, so go to the nearby Albertsons if you need fruits or veggies.
Report Check-Inwe parked on the right side of the building, it seemed to be the most quiet area away from the road. this Wal-Mart closes at 11pm so it'll quite down more after that. there is an odd busted up car in the lot on the left side.
Report Check-InI appreciate the free night stay but would likely not stay here again. There's is something eerie about this place with the beat up car at the end of the lot and questionable people wandering about. Pretty sure we heard some gunshots across the road in the evening too. On a positive note, the bathroom was nice.
Report Check-InWe asked for permission to stay and were told that one night would be fine. The spot is a typical Walmart parking lot
Report Check-InOther vans and rigs in the lot at night, no sign of security or any signs saying not too. Quiet enough for a Walmart for the night, not much traffic at night. Visited the store in the morning for the bathroom and some shopping, they are understaffed right now so probably no one to even think about people in the lot at night. Would stay again in a pinch.
Report Check-InEasy peasy. No knock, no note, no nothin. Definite earplugs, but chill spot. Thanks, Walmart
Report Check-InNo issue at this spot for the night. A bit noisy pre- thanksgiving shoppers until WM closed at 10pm, then good quiet spot. Level parking on the S side.
Report Check-InSecurity is patrolling in a car, gives you a small form to fill in (name, car plate) let it sign inside Walmart and return. parking behind Walmart was closed. Stay for one night ok.
Report Check-InSmaller Walmart than usual. I called to make sure it was ok & the manager said just for one night. A few other vans here doing the same.
Report Check-InWalmart parking lot. Staying here for the night. Reasonably level parking. We're parked next to a large RV. The restrooms inside the walmart were clean.
Report Check-InStayed here last night. 3 other small rvs in far corner of the parking lot. No signs, and no one asked me to leave.
Report Check-InI called today to double check it was ok to overnight park there. They said, they don't allow it anymore.
Report Check-InJust a Walmart. But convenient to town. Not many places for Boondocking here. Will be checking out the BLM site above the Rio Grande bridge north of town on the 64. While you are in town, stop in to the La Cueva Cafe just up the road on the Paseo del Pueblo Sur. (135). It’s pretty good Mexican food at good prices. It’s a small place, only seats 12 people.
