Mexico
Looks like this was a happening place at one time. Check-in office was locked up and no one around on a Friday afternoon. There are a couple of long-term trailers parked, but no one around. Kind of cool...but spooky.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Report Check-InCan't recommend that place. We arrived around lunch to ask for camping but were told there was no space while most of the campground was empty. Not very friendly either. Never had such an experience before, maybe they only want long term campers? The whole campground is in disrepair as well, pool is green and the roof of the office building is about to collapse.
Report Check-InFOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS! Prior reviews leave very confusing instructions on how to get here, so follow these instructions. We suggest searching "San Jose del Tajo Trailer Park" in Google Maps. There is a listing for the trailer park which will map you to the correct destination. If preferred use these GPS coordinates: 20.58370, -103.45519 (not the ones previously listed). The RV park is back in a residential area. The map will take you a group of food stalls and outdoor restaurants. There you'll see the sign for the trailer park. Drive to the right of food stalls toward a dirt road that goes behind the food stalls. It's a dirt road for a short period then becomes paved and has lots of weird medians and road blockage signs. Go around these all the way to the end where the trailer park is. The RV Park is a mix of houses and trailer/rv parking mostly with long term tenants. There was electricity but it wasn't grounded and caused hot skin. So we unplugged. Water and dumps at some sites. It's a quite park about 20 to 40 minutes from the city center of Guadalajara and was $200 pesos per night for 2 people in our Class C RV
Report Check-InHighly recommend this RV Park for who have his own bathroom with shower. The pros is near guadalajara center(no other options), cheap(depend on the vehicle, we paid 100peso), very quiet and natural atmosphete(many long residents here with their trailers, lots of trees.). The cons are no bathroom, no shower, not every dump works, no wifi(only near office).
Report Check-InTurn in about 50 yards past the fun park and several small restaurants. The Church book describes a cobblestone road, but it is being paved into a four lane concrete road. We still managed 100 pesos for a small Class C motorhome. Rest rooms are useable but certainly not well kept. A grand old place at one time.
Report Check-InThr gps location for the hard to find entrance are 20.58346 and 103.45525 fron big foot laval que
Report Check-InNothing special. Just a spot to fill up your watertank and sleep for one night. Went into the office and asked is it 150 pesos. Without argument it was :) We spent some nights near the hospital San Javier Guadelejara. Forgot to mark it on the map here. Hospital itself is not that good, but Calle Quebeck behind it was great spot to park overnight. Upscale part of the town.
Report Check-InLike described. But they wanted 200 Pesos per night. Because the pool is not usable, the Toilets are very old and dirty and we don't use Hook-ups we discussed the price and get 100 per night.
Report Check-InThank's to opp-jock's description, yes at the GPS location , you have to turn right between to Restaurant, TAJO,BURGER, an then straight on about 800.m. On an new Street, at the end, on your right you find the entrance. Take the place 66, its a shadow place. Full huk up 15.Amp. The neighbers are lovely helpfull people. We stay a few day's. Georgess Guadalarjara...
Report Check-InNo camping. Tried both sets of coordinates and asked and no camping we could find
Report Check-InThe old data in iOverlander was: 20.583669 -103.454610. This is about one kilometer away from the entrance to the trailer park at the public road near the overpass of the highway going from Guadalajara to Colima. It cost us more than one hour to finally reach the trailer park, measured from the time, when we first saw the sign “Trailer Park San Jose” directly in front of it. The navigation system was unable to bring us there, because there is just no public road to the given GPS-point. To come as close as possible to the given GPS-data we went into a dead-end-road, had to go back, afterwards could not go back to the mentioned sign, because it was a one-way-road with heavy traffic. So we had to go 3 km in the wrong direction, then to U-turn, we went under the overpass near above mentioned sign, then realized, that we did not drive far enough back to hit the place of the sign, had to go again 3 km in the wrong direction, to U-turn again, and then to U-turn a kilometer or two further along the road after the sign, go back, finally find the sign again and also the entrance. The traffic was terrible and the driving a nightmare. And all this happened, because AGAIN the GPS data gave a completely insignificant point, not the entrance to an overnight place from a public road (that would be the only significant information!!), but a place about a kilometer away, where the original author probably drank his beer in the evening beside his camper. To make it very clear: I am not interested to know where somebody drank his beer. I am only interested to know WHERE THE ENTRANCE to an overnight place is. I.e. the turn-off-point from a public road, that is known to standard navigation systems.
The correct GPS data of the Trailer park San Jose del Tajo is 20.58207 -103.44880 (the entrance from the public road).
The Trailer park San Jose del Tajo is nothing special, but ok. It has a huge swimming pool that was full of leaves that had fallen from the surrounding trees. We paid 200 pesos for our camper and two people.
Paid 200 for 2 people/night. Bathrooms are a little adventures. We decided not to shower. You can take the bus to the city. There are a lot of supermarkets around.
Report Check-In200 pesos for van, left bc bathrooms and showers were horrendous, as reported by novia. I only saw one set out of the two which looked like a horror movie set. Rest of park was pretty run down.
Report Check-InOnly RV Park in or near Guadalajara!!! Other options are far, around lake Chapala. Around 150 to 200p. May be possible to camp in el Bosque los colimos! This is in the city! There is an entrance park fee normally to enter. I used to live in the city so I speak fluent Spanish and looked at forums that said you can however the park closes and locks up at 8 pm.
