Something not right?

Description

Takes a long drive from highway on a travel road, so you should consider to stay here for a couple of days. But it is worth the effort. Amazing free campground. Hike five miles along Lake to reach hot springs. Nice rock formations.

Latest Check-Ins

Pulled in on a Friday (yes, I know). Campground was more like a fishing camp with weekend boaters, also some car and van campers. Overflow was pretty low-key, not very level but good enough for a night or two while doing the hikes. Views were amazing and pit toilets were usable given the number of campers on site.

Report Check-In

first 10 miles in is awful, between "pavement" and gravel. the remaining 15 miles is deep wash board and here and there smooth stretches. single axle trailers will get beaten up regardless of speed. road easily passable in any vehicle. views as stated are great. 4.5 miles before the actual campground is a largeish area to camp and be alone. the campground has a lower lot presumably for parking but a few including myself camped there. area was quiet with campers and morning doves to wake you up.

Report Check-In

A very long bumpy ride but worth the trip. Plenty of hiking trails, a lake for fishing, boating or paddle board.

Each site has pavilion for shade, but anyways it was to hot for us to stay the night. A lot of annoying flies all around. We decided to leave. Road is sometimes rough but most parts are okay to drive.

a beautiful area. The campground is a little small with spots being right next to each other. there are plenty of pull out spots around there where you can camp as well. established pit toilets that were clean-ish. there is no trash removal so it is a carryout area. No cell signal with T-Mobile. the roads are rough to get there, but I was able to do it in a standard rise sedan.
