Further up the road from the Fishing Club are some pullouts overlooking the river. You’re set above the river on a hill. It was quiet until morning when the local bus started making the rounds. The police checked on us in the evening and took photos of our passports. The two very young policemen seemed to be uncertain whether we’d be safe here so close to the river, but a call to the boss convinced them we were okay. Their office is just a little further up the road, and they invited us there if we needed anything, including hot water. It is a lovely spot, although no facilities.
