MODERATOR NOTE: CAUTION: Several users report damage to personal property caused by the owner's dog.
-----
WARNING: The owner has a black dog that will destroy your tent. I stayed here 3 nights and each day the dog clawed my tent and made 4 enormous holes on every side of my tent. While I stayed here the dog also destroyed the tents of 3 other cyclists. I asked the owner to chain the dog up and he asked me: "Would you like to be chained up?" He doesn't care that our tents are getting destroyed and left the dog to roam the yard.

Very nice cozy place, warm, pretty clean at a side location.
Stayed in a shared room (6p) shard bathrooms for 13,000 CLP a night, there is also a camping option for 8,000 a night.
The nights in the camping area can be really cold here to your attention.
Has a center wood stove in the middle of the hostel that spread the heat really well inside, shared kitchen, shared bathroom that really good and clean, nice and friendly staff.
There is no parking inside the hostel BUT you can park in front of the entrance door and there is 24h reception that will watch your motorcycle over night, works for me :). A lot of parking on the street outside too.
Report Check-InThe cheapest place to camp in town. 4,000 pesos per tent. It's a nice cozy hostel with a warm fireplace.
Report Check-InGreat hostel, hot showers, clean and camping in back garden. Silence after 11pm.
Report Check-InThe place is not bad, but sadly one of the owners is particularly unrespectful, rude and noisy; far away from expected chilean politeness. (I have some friends who left that place after some days with same opinion...)
Crowded living room and crowded kitchen.
For camping and quiet place choose RYO TINDAL, the owner Oscar is really friendly.
Medium sized hostel with dorms and big garden to put up your tent. Well-equipped kitchen, decent wifi and good hot showers. Great place to rest for a few days. Only sad thing is the owners who always seem to be busy and not always friendly. I miss the friendly and relaxed family atmosphere that was found at Hostal Independencia in Punta Arenas!
