California rest area big & clean with toilets, tables etc. usual 8hrs posted.Ended up here on the way to Tecate as one campground was closed & another had the entrance badly washed out. 40km from Tecate

Tried to stop here for the night but it’s actually closed down. Ended up parking on a flat area just before getting back on the freeway
Report Check-Inbig rest area with washrooms. dump station and water fill up were barricaded off and out of order.
Report Check-InQuieter than expected. Not much light either. Officially, there's an 8 hour limit. I think it's ok if you don't abuse.
Got there in the dark at 7pm and left at 8am.
Clean bathrooms.
Good water fountain to fill up jugs.
Nice Rest area on Interstate 8 with clean amenities. Although ut is actually settled right between the lanes going west or east we had a quite night. The road sign only says 'Buckman Springs Rd' - so make sure that you don't miss it :). As always on rest areas: you are legally allowed to stay up to 8hrs.
