Good VW mechanic. Busy shop- made me feel like he was trusted by the locals. Sambo seems to know the vw's well- had to do some work on the steering column/directional box. Knew exactly what needed to be made to fix the box and exactly how it should feel. Took longer than expected but that was bc the part took longer to make/perfect. Seems to work with a lot of travelers- had a book that everyone has signed/noted/left photos with. Has a good crew of guys working with him. Let us sleep in the shop, gave us a key, use of basic toilet (not the best, not the worst) and Access to potable water for several days while the work was getting done. Price seemed fair- a bit expensive but we didn't shop around to compare. We did keep keys with us and car locked, gas tank locked after the first day- one of the guys took some gas without asking...so just pay attention to that kind of thing. But otherwise we were totally taken care of had as good of an experience one can have while camping at the mechanics...

Excelent Mechanic, very honest. Te have several kind of service. Inyección electrónica, ABS Sistem, Automátic Box, etc.
We recomend !
Correct prices.

Bad experience. When we arrived we were told our problem would be fixed in a couple of days. He kept postponing, first one week, then 2. In the end it took 6 weeks. We left for a couple of weeks in between and when we came back almost no progress had been made on the car. Only by constant pushing and being at the shop 24/7 could we see some slow progress. We think the reason is he didn't know how to fix the car but didn't want to admit it. We asked for a maximum price, then we ended up paying double. He said he wouldn't continue the work unless we paid more money so we kind of had to. We had to go pick up spare parts ourselves in a cab to try to speed up the process... and after 6 weeks at the shop, we drove for 3 hours and the next day the car wouldn't start. We took it to another mechanic who needed to change some parts (parts which we had already paid for to exchange, but they had kept the money without exchanging them). Overall a really bad experience, kind of destroyed our holidays a bit. We definitely don't recommend, but the guy (Sambo) was always nice and smiling. Don't fall in the trap!

they didn't have time for us so we went to the guys next door (150 meters). they were very friendly and helpful. they repressed the bearings, changed the tires and made an oil change (we already bought some oil in a shop) for usd 20. nice guys!

Highly recommend. Our rear suspension was in rough shape after thousands of kilometers of terrible roads and they were able to help us get everything back in shape. Showed up at 11am on a Saturday and they got us in right away and did great work at a fair price. They also seem to specialize in Volkswagen, so might be a good place to go if you have a Combi that needs work (not that that would ever happen :). Open until 2pm on Saturdays, closed Sunday.

Well, the oil change was done in a good matter. The other problem that we were loosing oil on transmission box was not fixed even after two tentatives.

I was there to fix some rubber parts at the rear axis of my Nissan Pathfinder. Good work, nice men, found the problem very fast. I can recommend that guy.
