Description
This hotel can be an informal campsite, hotel, and/or secure parking while you take a small boat to an Atins adventure to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The people are friendly, the pool is cool and clean, good rooms, showers, restaurant, breakfast, etc. We paid to use the bathroom and shower, but camped in our rig on the grass. Tours of any kind can be organized. Just ask George and he can help!!
We chose to drive our Tundra into the small town of Atins, but were not allowed to drive onto the dunes at Lençóis. While the drive into Atins was fun, it was unnecessary work for our rig and camping at Atins was not optimal. It may be easier to leave vehicles here at the hotel and take a small boat to Atins to take tours, go to the beach and sleep at one of the many available pousadas. When you visit Barreirinhas, don’t forget to explore the boardwalk by the boats - good restaurants, live music, etc.
