Very large camp, and not busy mid week. Got a site right on the lake for $26.
Report Check-InCampsite was $26 on the lake for a non-electric site. Verizon 3 Bar 5G if you’re on the B loop facing the highway. (I was site B38). Probably want to fill your freshwater before getting to your spot if you have a non-electric site. Beautiful lake, minimal bugs in late June.
Report Check-InPoplar Point Campground at Jordan Lake State Rec Area. Wonderful place. Lots of spots for RVs or tents. Most spots feel very private. Ours had water & electric plus a fire pit and picnic table. There’s a free dump station on the way out, prior to the exit. The lake is enormous and we saw people kayaking, boating and fishing. We paid $30 and made our reservation online. We will definitely come back!
Report Check-InLove love love this place. It was a much needed retreat after visiting so many cities. Beautiful spots right on the lake. We were able to see the sunset and sunrise from our spot. Hot showers included. It is a really clean and well kept state run facility. $20 a night. Totally worth every penny. We would love to come back some day.
