The campground is rustic but it’s definitely closer to the loop road than Lovell Canyon. Pit toilets are exceptionally clean for a campground this size and camp hosts are very nice. It’s easy to safe money here as well, just share a campsite! 2 vehicles are allowed and you can add extra vehicles for only $20 extra (not daily but for the whole stay!)

You pay $25 for no electrical hook up, no water fill station (other than a water fountain), no shower and just a pit toilet. Complete waste of money. Better to go to Lovell canyon.

This is a desert camping with views of surrounding mountains. It is within the conservation area but not within the "scenic loop" that many come for. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the scenic loop area. Note that this campground requires you to pay on Rec.gov so check there before coming out because it is often full. When we got here, there were 2 walk-in sites available and the very helpful hosts said that we could reserve one and just sleep in our under 20' van. It is also a good idea to reserve a time for the scenic loop and visitors center which get very busy on nice days. We have a National Park pass so the price was $2 each time we entered the loop and VC area. If you don't have some kind of inter-agency pass you will pay $17 entrance fee. The Visitors Center is really good with indoor and outdoor exhibits, don't miss it.

Nice desert campground close to Red Rock Canyon. Very limited cell service in CG but 1/4 mile up the road (on top of the hill) is full service for AT&T. Sites are reservation only via recreation.gov.

Red Rock (not Red Rocks as noted in title) Camp Ground is closed for the summer. Managed by the BLM with help from Friends of Red Rock Canyon.

Stayed at a tent/car site (sites 19, 31, 50) in our 159" Promaster while visiting Red Rock to climb. Potable water, pit toilets, picnic tables, and awnings at some sites. Just a 6-8 min drive to Red Spring and Kraft Boulders. Only crummy thing was the lack of internet service, I'd sporadically get 1 bar of LTE Verizon when walking around the campground. Book early!

Will not stay at this site again and I definitely don’t recommend it. It’s a misnomer (it’s NOT in the park) and the sites are lousy. We reserved an RV site (136” Promaster Van) and the ground was not level. Our reserved site was actually shared and it didn’t say this on the website when we reserved. Save your money and find somewhere else to stay.
Pros: it was quiet.

Really didn’t like this campground. The camp hosts are aggressive about payments and very unfriendly. They kept patrolling us even after paying at the entrance— I felt very unwelcome. It’s a shame because the location and facilities are great.

Desert campground, generally pretty busy so arrive early or book ahead. Tons of climbers. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table, some also have shade structures over the picnic table. Put toilets and water spigots are scattered throughout the campground. No other amenities. I get patchy AT&T signal at the back of the campground. Sites are decently spread out but still small, most have space for 1-2 vehicles and 2 tents.
