There us only little space left for camping due to building of new condos. After looking at some of the rooms we decided to stay at the Buffalo room with in the rocks bathroom and a gorgues Terrasse. We negotiated it for 40€ with breakfast. Superp dinner at night with big fresh fish. We ended up staying 2 nights.

An incredible setting, but swarming with lake flies. You literally can't be outside! The ablution are absolutely disgusting, should be shut down. They wanted $15pp but we negotiated down to $10pp because we camped in the car park in our Rtt. The small campsite cannot be accessed by vehicles.

This place is a no-go.

We came here after a long day of driving and decided to „treat ourselfs“ and pay the 15$ for a nicer campsite & restaurant.

Well, turns our, the restaurant only had Fish, for which they wanted 15$ each for Tilapia with Chips. We then decided to cook ourselfs. As we came from Masai Mara, all cutlery was dirty, there is no cleaning station, so i ended up squating in the shower to wash our dishes.

The bathrooms smelled horrible and were absolutely dirty. Lastly, it took them 15 hours to procure our change in dollars. If we‘d paid in Shilling they gave us a steep rate which would have ended with us having to py even more.

Overall, not worth the money, i‘d have paid a max of 6$. Only really nice thing is the view, which was very nice at sunset.

PRICE UPDATE JULY 2022: 15 USD ppn
Nice place but price is quite steep for camping now. The reception guy wasn't happy at all when we tried several times to negotiate. No shade at the campsite, not much privacy, space for 2 vehicles if very close together. Other option is to camp at the parking lot which also has nice views but no privacy at all. Clean toilets, hot showers, no toilet paper provided. Saw 8 otters swimming in the lake together. Loads of bugs at night. 4G with Vodacom.

quiet and clean
friendly staff
good wifi and also good reception vodacom network
shower with hot water.
good restaurant

first the manager asks 15$/pppn which is too expensive. So we negotiated at 10$/pppn which is a fair price for all.

You can camp at the beach site or at the lodge. We camped at the lodge which is ok for big rigs. You can park right next to the water very beautiful spot. They wanted 15$ pppn and we argued and dropped to 10$. Then they asked us to pay in $ so again we argued and again they agreed that we would pay in TS. The toilet and shower unfit for use so we used ours. You can connect to power and fill water in the restaurant. We finally stayed here for 5 nights and were very welcome by the stuff. The chef is very good.

Great location on end of peninsula... It's a shame as campsite is very run down and lots of rubbish lying around. Plenty of staff but the place is very messy and looks like a construction site. Bathrooms bad and ran out of water. Staff asking us for money for food?!?!

Nice cozy spot at tip of peninsula, well maintained setting, friendly stuff, they let us park in a corner of the parking area (nicer than campground) and cut the trees for our big car! We used our own facilities, toilets and showers are worse than rest of site,10 USD PP
