Latest Check-Ins

Sorry lads, the only RV park left in Merida is now permanently closed pending plans, by Zecil the owner, to sell the land to a developer. Pandemic victim. Zecil very kindly let us stay for the night on the proviso we would move on the next day, 400Ps.

Report Check-In

Ça a plutôt l’air abandonné.

Report Check-In

Tricky to see the entrance! It did not look like an operating business. Just past the big Michelin gate on the right, take the very next right by a tan wall through a gate. See pics below. Place is as others described - rundown, but convenient and adequate. When we were here here were several other people - probably caravans

Report Check-In

El lugar está abandonado, no es buena opción considerarlo.

Report Check-In

Rundown and not maintained ...... but only one in Mérida with hook up.
On walking distance (5 min) of Mundo the Maya museo.

Report Check-In

A very big parking lot, but very dirty. The toilets and showers really bad,we can not use them. Nobody is working here and you have to phone to Zazil to make an appoiment to pay her. Electricity, water and sewed. The gates are always open. No security.
A lot of street dogs living here.

Report Check-In

We were there Jan 19-20. Open, hot shower, electricity and water. Quiet at night. Call Sisal for her to come. Go ice skating next door at the Isla Galerias.

Report Check-In

Avons visité avec voiture: ruines, cenotes, Celestun, Progresso. Tranquillo. Sommes restés 10 jours. On recommende.

Do not call Patricio, he does not work here anymore. Contact the owner Zazil. The park is always open offering 3 services, cold water shower, day guard (Luis). For electricity attention high voltage (132). Ghostly Park, which surely has had its glory days in the past. Beautiful trees, birds. Safe with its new fence and barrier. Near the Centro (collectivo). Shopping center across the street. Have visited with car: ruins, cenotes, Celestun, Progresso. Tranquillo. Stayed 10 days. We recommend.

Report Check-In

Very overpriced for the facilities. Over-grown and run-down, no WiFi, no security (gate is wide open, no locks and no permanent staff). 300pesos per night per vehicle. Obviously it was once a nice site. Good mall across the street. Uber to town centre cost around 100 pesos.

Report Check-In

Stopping on our return to Chiapas. We have been here before and nothing has changed.

Report Check-In

It seems to be a ghost campground.
Everything is abandonned but You can still sleep there for 300pesos with full hookup. Large shady space and lot of commodities just near. It’s still a good place for visit Merida who is a very nice city.

Report Check-In

A once grand place but now sort of run down yet still acceptable.

Report Check-In

Still open. Call 99 99 00 81 04 for instructions for the gate. The land is for sale and has abandoned buildings. But it is a perfect campingspot for a city. Has clean toilets and showers and electricity and water on sites. We enjoyed a day on the grassy field with other overlanders. Recommended!

Report Check-In

It is still open, the chain was just tied around the gate. There's a big yellow sign with instructions and telephone numbers of the owners. Water and electricity are still available. Good place to stay
overnight in a big city like Merida.

Report Check-In

Great location 300 pesos with electricity at sites no internet. It must have been really nice when it was built in the 60's but very run down now. Large grassy area for your dog to roam. Still the best option in Merida.

Report Check-In

Sent an email about a week ago to see if still open. Had to send a few days later, finally got a reply that yes, they are open. When we got there around 4 pm. Gate was locked. Hung around a bit. Beeped the horn, no luck. Went to the hostel in town instead.

Report Check-In

Still open. Some noise from trafic. 300 pesos for a site per night.

Report Check-In

I just stayed here again, and I talked to Zazil, the woman who's running it now. (Her father founded the park.) She confirmed that the park is open now, but that the land is currently up for sale. They are holding out for the price they want, so she has no idea how long it will take to sell, or how long the park will be open. If you're thinking of staying here, you can e-mail her in advance at (zazilyuc @ hotmail.com), to find out the current status. She can also give you any special instructions for the gate, if needed. Personally, I've been happy this place exists, and I'll be sorry to see it go!

Report Check-In

I'm not sure why the previous review said this was closed. I was parked here from Dec 24, 2017 to Jan 1, 2018, and there were other people here, too.

I did get the feeling that this wouldn't be open much longer, since it's surrounded by big malls and constructions sites, but it was open for me. Electricity and water worked at numerous sites (probably not all). Bathroom was marginal, but had flush toilets and cold shower.

I paid 300 pesos for nights when I was there, using electrical and facilities, and 100 pesos to leave vehicle parked there when I wasn't there (no power hookup or facilities). It was a safe place to park, a quiet place to sleep, and a convenient place to stay in Merida. I was happy to have it, and hope to go back again!

Report Check-In

Excellent location for visiting Merida with easy side trips to Progreso, Uxmal, Izamal, etc. Bus out front to go downtown. Excellent shopping across road. Lots of lavanderas. We stayed a week. 300 pesos per night for full hookup and reasonable bathrooms. The trickiest part is to find the entrance to the campsite!! (We missed it the first time around.) The gate may be closed but it is not usually locked -just shift the chain. Owner comes to collect money around 1700 to 1800. Lots of room for big rigs. Wifi can be obtained with code from La Gaz station.

Report Check-In

still open. good space and good location but other than that not worth the 300 pesos.

Report Check-In

This park is 50 years old... met the owners and the father. Such a great location but it won’t be here much longer as progress is being built all around .. stayed a week !!

The proprietor come to take the pesos
Luis is here for clean the park

Report Check-In

Still open and functional. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. Grass trimmed. Electric for AC. Water for tanks and bathrooms. Wifi across the street which our booster could pick up. We emailed ahead and gate was open. Lots of shade trees. Space for dogs to wander. Quiet at night. Really a perfect location for exploring Merída. Paid Zazil $300 per night when she came by. She spoke English when we called. Luis wanders the property-don't pay him. Folks cut across occasionally, we will put our chairs away when we aren't here.

Report Check-In

It is Open!!
Gate looks closed, but you can open it and let yourself in. Make sure call the owners so there are no security issues. Good for night, big mall / Costco across street.

Report Check-In

Huge grassy lot across a shopping mall. Clean toilets. Full hookup $300. Somewhat neglected.

Report Check-In

The park is directly across from the Liverpool store. Large grassy area with back in & pull thru sites. Power enough to run A/C in our travel trailers. Water & sewer at sites. Did not use facilities as we are self contained. No WiFi, but Mall across street has free WiFi if u need.
300 pesos/night. Manager Sacil (Mayan for rising Sun) came by shortly after we parked. Quiet. An old Park, but sufficient.

Did not stay. Called the owner who said 250MX. They are unofficially closed but will let people in if they phone. Grass tall and a bazillion mosquitos. No security. Electric plugs over 137 amps. Water out of taps looked quite gross. Would not recommend at all.

Report Check-In

M$250 per night. No manager or security from what we saw on site. The bath and showers should have water but it was not working during our stay. No idea if there is wifi since nobody here. The manager sent our bill over with the maintenance staff. The place has electricity and flush toilets. Place is large and lotskfat spaces with plenty of room for large rigs.

Report Check-In

A bit run-down, huge place. Electricity / water / waste water at site. Located next to a large shopping mall. Easy to take the collectivo to the city.
