Recommended! Very nice quiet place on the West Bank. Just a ferry away from the East Bank, it leaves every 15 minutes or so and takes 5-10 minutes (ferry for locals is 1 pound I believe, but for foreigners 2LE). Ferry goes until 12 at night, so you can have dinner in Aswan if you want. We did not take dinner here (for 13$). Nice rooms, great bed, with clean private bathroom or private bathroom next door. Friendly staff, pretty common areas, balcony with Nile view where you can get coffee and tea for free, two sweet dogs. We paid €24 per night including breakfast, and after a bit of haggling (think it was 35 on booking.com). Parking from the street, over small bridge, next to the guesthouse. Felt OK in terms of security, but it is not behind a gate.
