The track is closed off, but this spot is right in the parking lot. Free, right in front of the beach, you can use hotel shower for 7 and bathrooms for 3.
Right of the camping of Hotel Inca. Follow the tracks to right about 200m before the hotel parking lot. Camping is close to the hotel parking lot but off to the side.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We parked outside the hotel area, close to the beach, on hard packed sand. A family came for sundown and left after dark. It felt safe. We saw a young sea lion resting on the beach. The hotel receptionist will share the wi-fi if you buy something. We didn't ask for bathroom or shower. It was quiet and cool, no bugs.
Report Check-InNice and quiet directly on the beach (outside the hotel area). Nobody
around.
Calm night by the sea. Some locals were there in the evening but left after dark.
Report Check-InWe negotiated free camping in return for eating in the restaurant, otherwise you pay for the bathrooms and showers as others had suggested. They wanted to charge us 60 soles for a couple to camp on the beach. No WiFi (unless you're in the hotel). The sunset was beautiful.
Report Check-InLovely quiet place to camp right on the beach 2.5km off the highway. There is a sand track entry to the right before the hotel. We had a good ceviche (29sols) and Pisco sours at the very friendly hotel before camping on the beach. Hard packed sand so no four wheel drive needed and good for any size rig. 2 fishermen came in the morning but otherwise nobody there.
Report Check-InThe other spot might be closed off, but we stayed in the parking lot by the hotel, free no amenities, but right in front of beach. Quiet and safe. You can use the hotel shower for 7soles, hot water, and bathroom for 3soles.
Report Check-InWhen we came here today there was no side track anymore. Everything like gated in with posts and rope. The place is very touristic, we decided not to stay. We drove up again half the way and stopped at a pull out which is fine. No idea what parking in front of the hotel would cost, this place maybe nice for somebody who likes touristy places, but not for us.
Report Check-InSuper nice beach, just right next to the hotel. It felt very safe compared to the rest of the Peru coast. Too expensive to stay in the hotel camping area, opted to just park next to it and it was great.
Report Check-Insuper place to spend a few days!
we asked to the guy from the hotel if it was ok with him that we stay near the place. he said there is no problem.
we could use wifi if we consumed something
we had 2 breakfasts (very good) for 20 soles with a shower included.
and the beach is perfect to chill and swim!
i just would go there if it rained a lot the days before
Very nice place indeed. Our old van is not good for offroading but we got here just fine. Take a right turn onto the side track just before the welcome sign of the hotel. We didn't talk to anyone at the hotel and they also didn't bother us. We were alone day and night, very quiet.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay! Directly at the beach and for free! There is only a hotel nearby, which hot showers you can use for 7sol/pp.
Absolutely quiet at night.
We weren't sure if this place was still accessible or if overlanders were still sleeping there but we drove down and 4 other overlanders were there! It is a really cool spot, road is deeply rutted though fine, and nobody around except a few locals in the offseason :) muy tranquilo
Report Check-InThis place is pretty awesome if you just want to chill on the beach and relax. The scenery is gorgeous, water is great, and there are plenty of trails to explore. Probably the nicest beach spot we've been on in South America so far. Not really sure why anyone would pay to camp at the hotel when you can camp on the beach to the side for free, unless you're the kind of people the absolutely need bathrooms and showers. The spot to the side is far away enough from the hotel parking to be a little more secluded and the only super soft sand is closer to the water or if you wanted to drive over towards the rocks. Now for another beer...
Report Check-InNice area to stay. We took a walk in the morning through the rocks and ruins. The right turn is in a depression about 200m before the parking area, where you cross the dry stream.
Report Check-Inwe stayed here two nights for free alone. hotel camping still was 30 soles/night for a camper, no one was there either. really do the walking tour following the white signs at the right (facing the ocean) side. this leeds to a natuaral arch at the coast. and have a nice walk to the old ruins on both sides. no infrastructure.
Report Check-InGreat place and nice hosts on the Panamericana. Got here late. The owners wife cook for us as well. Ideal if you are coming from Colca.
Report Check-InWell worth it! We spent the night just by ourself ( could be different on weekends)... take it easy on the dirt road if you drive an old car like our vw bus, it's all washboard, but not yo bad. Ruins+Humboldt penguins: Follow the markers and footprints on the trail on the right side to the rockery!
Report Check-InThe campsite on the beach is very beautiful. What a spot! Really worth the 25 Soles. The food at the restaurant is very good.
Report Check-InStill here. Good spot on the way from/to Arequipa. We didn't talk to anyone at hotel, just drive down the turnoff from main road (dirt and washboard, not bad) and turned right before hitting parking lot. It's literally right next to the parking lot, same amenities (none), and free.
Report Check-InAmazing small bahia with lots of Archeological sites. Kids loved to explore the several inca ruins around it.
Report Check-InMuch better solution than to pay 25 soles per person for nothing at the hotel. 100 meters away to the restaurant if needed... Very nice place!
Report Check-InRight of the camping of Hotel Inca. Take the side road right to get to the beach
