Beautiful view of lake Melville and the Mealy Mountains right before the lookout. Picnic table, garbage can and pit toilet beside. Down a bumpy gravel road but 4x4 probably not required

Spectacular views of the city, some traces of local kods having fun on the weekends. No one bothered us.
Keep in mind that Interpretive center in town can be closed off season at random hours despite official operational hours.
Fabulous views of Lake Melville on one side, and some views of Little Lake on the other. Very peaceful location! We found a level spot to park at the end closest to where the little blue structure is (which is an empty shrine).
Report Check-InGreat spot with great view. Wind keeps the bugs away. Ground a bit uneven. What appears to be a pit toilet - isn't. Guess it's supposed to be a place to sit and enjoy the view.
Report Check-InAs advertised. There was a bunch of garbage when we pulled in but a minute later a gov. employees came by and cleaned it up. Thank you. Please help keep it clean. No toilet, just a picnic table and a few fire rings. When we were there it was drizzling and not much breeze so we had bugs…3/4 bars of cell service!
Report Check-InAs advertised, beautiful view on both sides (west and east). Just enough wind to be almost bug-free. Picnic table, no toilet.
Report Check-InIt seems that the lookout has been enlarged and the coordinates are now actually on the lookout which is level with the gravel road. Work is still in progress. There was no pit toilet, probably due to the construction. The view is truly stunning. With the breeze there were less insects. Until sunset a few cars passed or stopped briefly but the night was very quiet.
Report Check-Inplenty of room for big rigs.
nice view
very quiet
bumpy road but take it slow
