There is an fence, now. We didn’t see a possibility to stay for the night at this spot.
Report Check-InWe wanted to park near the river, but it was very busy at the pier with tourists. So we ended up here, just before the steep downhill road to the dunes. Very good, quiet, level, big spot under the pine and eucalyptus trees. You can see the river in the distance.
Report Check-InWent here to hike to the sand dunes. The road is very bad and a lot of bees. Twenty of them constantly surrounding us. Wouldn't recommend to go.
Report Check-InEntrance to the grassy area is a little bit before the coordinates. It’s easy to see because all other areas have fences. The place is next to the street but there are almost no cars, hidden behind trees and bushes, quiet, perfect place to stay overnight for and to start the Sendero de Chile the next day.
Report Check-InNice flat spot to spend the night. The road is closed but we’ve seen only 2 cars passing through. It was raining and we suspected the wind being strong during the night. Finally we slept like babys and the birds woke us up.
Good for tents, car, van or 4wd.
