Description
Rustic little lodge in the most incredible location, by far the best location of any lodge in Rushaga. You feel like you are right in the forest and there is amazing birding. No good for roof tents but worth taking a room for the beautiful location.

As said before, it‘s a super nice and rustic lodge. The cheapest in the area too. 20 USD pp for a Budget room with shared showers, 40 USD pp for a room with en-suite. 70 USD pp for fullboard incl. 3 course meal for dinner, breakfast and packed lunch for the gorilla trekking. There is a dorm also, it costs 15 USD pp.
The dirt road to the lodge is fine with a 4x4 but only when it hasn’t just rained.
It‘s a 3 minute drive from the gate where the gorilla trekking starts and they will sort you out for the license, too. Gloria was taking care of us and she speaks good English and is a great host!
The shower has good pressure and was warm enough in the morning.
Camped here the night for 5usd pp. Hot water donkey shower and security at night. Lovely setting! The sound of the Batwa singing and drumming from the village will ensure you wake up in a good mood.
Report Check-InVery nice location indeed. Very friendly and helpful staff! Price is $38 for full board for room. Campsite however is on the carpark but in the middle of the forest.
Report Check-Inbeautifull place almost in the park. the host named Silver is a great guy. you need to park your car just out of the lodge. the road is narrow but my big rig fit in. If you don't wonna drive down Silvrr has a place for you near the gate.
