Chile
Official Conaf-Campground in the national park. We didn't spend the night there, but it sure looks very nice: Sun protection roofs and a lot of big rocks for wind protection.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice campground. now run privately by Francisco who speaks good English. a little expensive at 15'000 pesos for one person, tent, bicycle. wind shelter from huge rocks, sun shelter from shade roofs. potable water. Good toilets and showers, although hot water not working today... normally no garbage collection but he did take my rubbish bag as I'm cycling. you can charge your phone and use a WiFi hotspot from Francisco while he's at the reception, if needed. close to the road but very little traffic. distant sound of waves from the sea.
Report Check-InEverything is as mentionned in the previous comments. We paid 10 000 per person with our van. We didn’t have any hot water in the morning. Nice camping !
Report Check-InBeautiful place but now asking 15k pp. Midweek in early December and we were the only ones here so able to bargain down to 10k pp. Well situated campsites with windbreaks, table and shade. Many with very soft sand to park in, but not all. The showers have a gas heater in addition to the solar set up, so fantastic and hot during our visit. Great hiking, fun surf, and beautiful beach. Desert bloom started almost two months ago and was still happening. Rangers said this year they saw the 1st rain in 7 years. Amazing site to see!
Report Check-InPrice went up to 10 000 pesos per person. No hot water for showers available due to lack of sun (water is heated with a solar boiler). We didn't stay and went to a spot outside the national park.
Report Check-Inreally nice spot, couldn't be better located at the beach in this nice atmosphere . gentle and friendly guy taking care of the campground. showers refreshing but very clean. toilets very clean.
Report Check-InBeautiful beach within 5 minutes walk. Camping was already closed because they said there are only 15 spots for camping and they were full. Still there was lots of space. Went 5 minutes south to the wild camping.
Report Check-InIt’s open. Sign say 7500 entry + 4000 camping. Ranger said 5000 for everything, because it’s still low season, maybe? Nice camping and beach, but some trash around and 4x4 tracks all over the beach. So nice, but not great, not so pristine.
Report Check-InWas hoping to camp here but found it closed. Sign says it opens again in early December
Report Check-InVery nice Conaf camping. Two weeks closed some days ago, now opened again. Different trails over the hills with beautiful views all around.
Report Check-InAbsolutely beautiful. Forget Playa La Virgen, sabe your pennies and stay or pass through here. stunning white sands and crystalline waters (reminded me of home - Australia - minus the awesome mountains). our girls also loved climbing the big boulders.
Report Check-InFull again around Independence Holidays, but if you're self-sustained they may let you stay for 1 or 2 nights in the day parking lot - without any equipment but access to the quite poor and not maintained infrastructure.
Be careful with heavier rigs, because most of the 10 places are sandy.
Completly quiet, white&rocks beach. Conaf oficial Sergio was a nice man. Toillets, bring your paper. Basic but peacefully place. We pay the entrance for to stay in our roof tent. Desert and sea. Places for Bbq.
Report Check-InArrived a little late in the day. Around 6pm and the office was closed but the gate was open.
No one else around so we have parked up and set up camp. The signs says 3000CLP entry and 4000CLP pp for camping. A curious fox came by. lol. Lovely sunset. Facilities are basic but clean ish. The outdoor sinks have clearly not been used in a while, but the toilets are clean.
This is a fantastic little park. Much nicer here than the other ioverlander spots south off here. The staff were super friendly and didn’t even charge us to stay in our bus in the carpark - we just parked wherever we liked not near a shelter. We stayed two nights - the kids loved the rocks to climb on. Some good secret surf spots a bit south of here.
Report Check-InA wonderful place to stay for more than one night (off season). Quiet, warm solar shower and clean toilets for 4000 pp.
Report Check-Inprice for one person 4000,00 Peso.
didn't stay .
because foreigners once more are discriminated here in Chile. for the Parc entrance we should pay 5000, Chileniens 4000,00.
Superb campsite with gorgeous views and wind protection. 4000 pp per night with camper van. Careful the sites rhemsekves to park your van is very szndy. We got stuck!
Report Check-InReally nice camping. Spent 4 nights here. Paid 8000 per night 1 person and motorcycle. Lots of shelter from sun and wind. Beautiful views. Hot water showers in the evening. Hiking trails. No wifi. Potable water. Toilets and showers clean. Friendly staff plus ranger station all give really good information.
