Road toll point, can’t pass until you pay. Sign board says ZMK20 per car but they wanted to charge us over ZMK300 for being a foreign registered vehicle! Ended up paying K72 for “single access”. Don’t accept card, cash only (ZMK)

Report Check-InIf this is your first toll gate since Tanzania, you'll pay $15 to drive around the country for 3 months (we have a Belgian plate), provided that you don't come back here (otherwise $30).
You will also pay K20 (for a car) for the gate in question. This second small sum must be paid systematically at every gate in the country.
With Namibian plate it is 10US or (today) 179ZWK one way. You still need to pay the 20ZWK at each toll gate. They also want to know where you exit the country and which places you intend to visit, but they can also write "throughout the country".
Report Check-InBe aware they charge you for a single way if you passing Zambia. We paid $15 for 3 months. Return us double the price. Everytime when passing a toll gate it's 20 kwatcha.

But you have to give them the documents you received at the border. They will stamp them, and add the receipt for 20 Kwacha to them.
Paid Road Toll here, RSA registered vehicle for whole of Zambia if coming from the north. ZMK368 valid for 3 months. Accept Zambian cash only. Provided with receipt which get stamped at all toll points in Zambia. Between here and Livingstone along the main roads there are 6 Toll points to date so its cost effective to pay the ZMK368 if driving through. Good, pleasant service!

Just show the form from the Transport and Safety Authority. They will stamp it and everything is done.
As you did not show the form, the officer thought that you did not pay the road tax and asked to pay the regular amount for 90 days. 72 ZMW are the fee for only one day.
You never will find a corrupt policeman in Zambia.
We brought our road tax here for the rest of time we are in Zambia. They gave us a receipt which we get stamped every time we cross a roll plaza. Paid 181zk for Toyota Hilux 2.5 South African registered. If we’ve been had we will update this review.
