Description

This aero towing club (hang gliding and sail planes) is a great stop for relaxing campers and adventure seekers alike! There is ample space for large and small rigs, bathrooms with showers, parrillas for grilling, and a weekend restaurant. You can also take a tandem hang gliding flight with local instructors. The people are very friendly, more than happy to help and welcome visitors of all kinds. There are plenty of birds to watch, flying machines to see and and spaces to hang out! Before you go, be sure to call Lionel at his WhatsApp number - 5491138870869, to make sure there is space and that someone is there to welcome you. English, Portugués and Spanish are spoken here. Great people! We highly recommend!

Nice place. Lionel is very helpful. A bit hard to find. When on Ruta 2 (coming from BA), turn right at km 65. Then after 800 meters, turn right again until the yellow house.

We spent a really nice weekend here. Quiet with a few friendly pilot campers. They tow up hang gliders and sail planes to fly in the thermals. Fun to watch and can also go for a flight in their tandem (by paying a donation to the club). Electricity, water, rustic bathrooms and hot shower. Super nice people. We paid 600 pesos a night. Contact on WhatsApp before arrival.

What a wonderful place to visit, we spent three nights here mid-week and we were the only ones here. There are caretakers who live on the premises who can help if you have any questions. We strongly recommend that you call ahead, even the same day to let Lionel know that you will be visiting and staying. Lionel runs the glider school if you want to take some lessons. He is a really nice guy! There is electricity and water available, also showers and toilets, and lots of trees for shade. There are also several rescue dogs that will visit you, but they are very friendly. Weekends are probably more busy and active as people come down from BA to fly, camp and have parrillas - so likely to be more noisy. There is LOTS of space here, you could probably leave your vehicle here for storage. Payment appears to be by donation only, we paid 600 pesos ($10us) for our three nights. There are two entrances into the air park, the southern one is via a dirt road and there is a sign at the entrance. The northern entrance is not where maps.me wants you to turn but rather about 500 meters north of the street so you turn at the entrance north of Calle 84 as this route is paved. However the entrance is not signed, though maps.me will lead you to the right turn. Phone number is still the same as in the first post.

Nice spot to stay for a night. We stayed on a Friday night and almost no one was around except for the caretaker, some sheep and dogs. Bathrooms are Latin America standard issue. $100 pesos per night per person.

We stayed here twice. Each time for 3/4 nights. The first time we wanted to escape Buenos Aires for the week-end but needed to come back so I was looking for a quiet place near by. And as a Paraglider pilot I choose fly ranch. This is a great place for pilot and non pilot. Hugo and Lionel and the entire crew are welcoming and run a nice club for sailplane, ultra lights and hang gliders. And on the second stay I even enjoyed a tow with the winch so I can fly my Paraglider! Otherwise there is water and power and it is really quiet at night!

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Fly Ranch. We came looking for a place where we could relax and reorganize the stuff in our van, what we found were gracious hosts that made us feel at home, and a vibrant glider community. We had never thought about trying out hang gliding, but on our 3rd day we all went up!
