Lots of pull outs off this forest road to camp. We chose this one with a meadow, fire ring and a pile of wood. Near Rim Trail trail head. Free and very remote.

Just as described. Lots of spots off the road way I also chose the one closest to the trailhead with the open meadow so I could set up my Starlink. Really quiet and enjoyable.
Report Check-Infree camping in a nice forest, bring all your supplies as you can boondock for several days.
Report Check-Infree boondocking in nice forest. bring your supplies since you could stay for awhile.
Report Check-InWe stayed here July 3, 2022 to the 4th. It was great and secluded and a great reprieve from the heat down in the Tularosa Basin. Free to stay since it’s National Forest land and had a couple establish fire rings.
Report Check-InGreat place to camp! many sites with firepits- but current fire ban so no fires. the site we chose had a good amount of trash thrown in the fire pit and around the Campsite. We took some time to collect it and drive up to the nearby Ranger Station to throw it out. Remember to leave no trace please!
Report Check-InJust up the hill from the forest road, couple of fire rings nice open space with lots of privacy. Requires four-wheel drive as the hill is a bit steep. Getting two bars of Verizon service with internet.
Report Check-InWell maintained dirt access road to numerous pull offs with fire rings. The turn off for these coordinates is steep and loose. Would pick an earlier site with a trailer or 2wd.
Report Check-InThere was too much snow so we turned around! But it looked real pretty!
Report Check-InGood handful of spots, the drive in from White Sands is gorgeous. Campsites have fire pit and beautiful views! Minimal Verizon service.
Report Check-InThis place was nice! It was quiet.
I’ve recommended this to my friends and family.
Close to several trail heads and only 15 mins or so from town.
Wonderful place to spend a night and morning! Chilly in April! 4x4 isnt a bad idea, especially after a rainy season.
