Just off the road, not visible from no.7. Fishermen left early evening. My neighbor caught a 2 lb speckled trout. Quiet, nice view of the mountains, some mosquitoes nothing crazy. A shepherd just went by with his herd. Creek is 100m away.

We slept one night at this spot on the side of the road with our roof tent. It's a dead-end stone street, very wide. We parked next to the bush and slept very peacefully. Two times during the day, a caretaker of the sheep in a pen at the end of the street passed by and waved at us. Few cars pass there, after all the street has no exit. It is possible to see the mountains above the forest.
Report Check-InNot sure if this place is really abandoned by the looks of it, but either way it’s a good place to stay for a night. Plenty of room for many cars/tents. Lovely nature around!
Report Check-InSince the Yelcho lodge was full because of Christmas we drove to this spot. A lot of space with view on the mountains. A farmer with his sheep passed by. Nice spot to stay!
Report Check-InNice and quiet, as described. Don't follow Google GPS, the entrance is on the right just before the bridge when coming from the North.
At this time of year, no bugs :-)
Best location to stay before or after Lago Yelcho. A lot of space. You could go to the river, also a good spot to fish.
3G signal Entel.
You van drive till the end of the aerodrome, where there’s a fence and a lot of bushes. You can’t see (but hear) the river. If it’s not cloudy you can see the snowy tips of the mountains. It’s very quiet in the evening, nobody there.
There were só many (huge!) mosquitos there at night that we first had to kill 40-50 in our van before going to sleep. We drove halfway back to the Ruta 7 in the morning to have a mosquito-free breakfast :)
This place works just fine: off Ruta 7, so that nobody comes around by accident. Just the sherpherd left his sheep in the morning and seemed not very surprised to see us.
Report Check-InSorry I was to quick with my reaction. Google send us to the right by the fence, but you have to drive a little further. Then you find this spot! You hear the river. It's not at the river.
Report Check-InBeautiful and quite.
Sound of river and view at the glacier and other mountains.
Campfire possible.
In the evening and Morning we met the Shepherd with his sheep.
Many mosquitoes at night.
