Nice USFS campground with a mix of walk-in tent sites and some larger sites for RVs. Only some parking spots are flat - many are very sloped. Good space and vegetation between most camp sites. Vault and flush toilets and a shower house. Too much highway noise from our spot (30-40) unfortunately. Prices have increased - $22 for walk-in and $28 for normal site.

COLD night! low 20s but we managed to scrape together enough kindling to get a small fire started to warm up. For the convenient location, this was a very nice place to stay. We were in one of the few level sites available, but would definitely try this campground again if we're in the area.

Well lighted kiosk at the front said it was 15 dollars and have price of with the America the beautiful or gold senior pass. It was late when I got there took the first site. Didn’t see any other signs suggesting a different price

It says $15 per camp unit at the front but there are now signs in front of the campsites that state otherwise.
Single sites are $25 and double sites are $30.

Excellent spot and open year round! Tough to hand out the $15 when you’re used to free spots, but it’s worth it for the location close to the sights at red river gorge.

National Forest Campground with $20 walk to sites (parking separate), $25 standard sites, and $30 double sites…all first come first served. Central water, several pit toilets, one bathhouse with showers (warm to hot depending on usage), and several onsite trails to sandstone arches and ridge views. It’s a great basecamp for exploring the Red River Gorge, the Sky Bridge is quite beautiful on a clear day. The campground is very busy on the weekends but was tranquil during the week, we stayed 6 nights spanning a weekend. The Brick cafe located 2 miles from the campground is a great stop for coffee, ice cream, a muffin, and decent wifi when they aren’t busy.

Wonderful primitive campground, busy and only 2 sites left when we came in the evening. Would defiantly be returning to this place as well.
