Perfect location for climbers looking to camp at the Red. $3.50/night. Technically for climbers only. Free wifi, no cell service. Has toilets, showers, pavilion for cooking/eating/storing food, laundry machine, sink room, AC basement in restaurant, picnic tables, basketball court, volleyball net, slack lines, climbing shop, and restaurant. Huge field for pitching tents and parking lot for vans.

technically I guess the campground is for "rock climbers only". the pizza shop guy told me not to tell anyone I wasn't climbing. the situation is a bit confusing. perhaps because it's an unenforceable rule. what if you climb but aren't climbing here? what if you're dating a climber but don't climb? they didn't ask in the store and actually you can't register there any longer anyhow. you have to do it online. redrivergorgeretreats.com. the place is full of rowdy young folks and hippie types anyhow so not everyone is going to like it for camping. it has more of a summer camp vibe than a quiet nature vibe.

Stayed here 6 nights. This place is great, honestly. 1 car/person/tent = $3.50 a night. Miguels Climb Shop would be the place to check in to get your info. Showers are nice and hot, bathrooms get cleaned daily. They have a wonderful pavllion area for climbers, and one for Miguel Pizza customers. Get some pizza while your there, endless combinations.

One of many camper vans here for the weekend for some climbing. $3/night for place to park, restrooms, covered area to eat/socialize, small gear store. Restaurant was recently renovated but still serves pizza with whatever you want on it.

This is a climbers paradise. There is a climb shop, hostel, showers, and the best pizza in Eastern KY.
