Description

Right infront of Capilla Santa Barbara there is a sort of parking lot surrounded by trees, we were told that parking and camping was allowed there so we did, we had a nice shade from the trees, and infront of the plaza right next to it there was a hostel were we rented the toillets and shower. Nice place and friendly people all over. Another toillet option was paying the 5000 COP p/p to access the nearby swimming pools. The main square of Barichara has free unlimited wifi access.

we stayed here for two days, a quiet and peaceful place, in the park of the arts in front there is a bathroom, but it was closed, behind the church there is a swimming pool that you pay 8 thousand Colombians from 9:30 to 17:00.

We stayed close to this location a bit elevated on a dirt parking lot. We stayed for 2 nights and got woken up by the police on the second morning. They told us that neighbors had called and told us to leave. They were very friendly but it seems that Overlanders are no longer welcome to stay on public ground. Apparently there‘s a Dutch person who let‘s you camp there. But not sure where exactly that is.

Super cute little park with trees and a chapel well lit at night, and quiet, even on a saturday night. Excellent Claro signal.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot, protected from the wind and very quiet at night. Not as exposed as being alone by the cliff, even though the region is totally safe, feels safer here.

We spend two night in this quite and safe street spot. Pools are near. And a great mirador behind them. People are friendly. Looks for the coffee shop-car!

Report Check-In

We spent three nights here. We didn't feel comfortable setting up an outside kitchen so we mostly ate dinner out except when we moved up to the spot behind the Capilla.

Pretty good place for a few nights, only few minutes to walk to the town centre. Free.

Busy at daytime, very quiet at night. Nice place, short walk down to the main placa.
