RV/Van parking. Quiet location even though you are close to the highway. We just asked when we arrived to make sure it was ok to stay. Even though we have the Winnie Van we ate breakfast at CB in the morning. Clean restrooms.
Located in Harrisonburg, VA right off I-81
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Water spigot in parking lot on the rear side of the building. Spend one night with no problems.
Report Check-Ineasy and safe overnight. many others in RVs. they have dedicated RV spots. many of the regular spots are very uneven.
Report Check-InGood spot, safe, few people around after hours. Some highway noise, but not bad for us.
Report Check-InRoad noise for sure. But a fair bit of trucks using unmuffled exhaust brakes as they slow on the off ramp that surrounds this location. You'll want ear plugs.
Report Check-InTypical Cracker Barrel, next to a high traffic road so there was some constant noise, although really not that bad and nothing that earplugs couldn't fix. felt exceptionally safe because of the numerous hotels on the vicinity and a few other RV there the night we stayed. About 6 RV parking spots, if I remember correctly.
Could grab wifi from Cracker Barrel, maybe because we were parked on the closest spot from the restaurant. Had a pretty good night overall!
Report Check-InStayed overnight. Parking for RV’s is in the lot of the hotels it seems but it’s overall just a messy area. Extremely windy. Not very loud but it was packed when we got here on a Saturday night. Haven’t had any problems. Decided to stay a bit into the day to get work done.
Report Check-InAn Officer knocked and told us the manager does not allow overnight parking. She said it may be just the on duty manager, but since the complaint was made everyone had to leave. It sounded like it happens a lot. There was a very large RV spread out with the slides out taking considerable space. My guess is this it what spurred the call.
The officer did say sleeping in a vehicle is not allowed in Harrisonburg, but unless she receives a complaint she is not knocking on parked vehicles. We decided to drive further down 81.
Report Check-InYes. The road is lower than the parking lot. A lot less noise than some CB’s
Report Check-InGreat over night stop. We asked if we could stay and we’re told yes. Park in RV/bus parking spaces if you have a larger camper. A little noisy if your vehicle is not insulated. Clean restrooms. Be as stealth as possible to help others stay here in the future. Grab a coffee to go as a thank you to this business!
Report Check-InAn overnight. Lot of positive, food, the store well stocked, lot of parking places for RV and others. Negative, not the most level parking lot so arrive early to get your pick. Negative also is proximity to motels. Morel guest park in the RV spots.
I would stay here again in our camping van.
Report Check-InIt has a pretty large parking lot & they even have a posted sign for cracker barrel RV parking. I slept here in my car but there were a few other vans & campers & I got there about midnight so I couldn’t ask if it was okay to stay but I had no issues whatsoever. Highly suggest staying at cracker barrel if you need just a spot to park & crash, I’ve read they’re great about it whereas other places are not
Report Check-InQuiet parking lot but lots of noise from the highwy. Good for an overnight stay. Asked at the store for permission to stay overnight and had breakfast in the morning. Opens at 6am!
