Colombia
Camping area right on the edge of de impressive desert of La Tatacoa, views are great from here and you are next to the entrance of the paths to explore the strange formations inside the desert. Services were basic but worked. Modest showers, toillets and hand laundry area. We took our bikes and went to Villavieja and from there we went by boat to Aipe, crossing the Magdalena river, nice and easy little day trip to do. Another tip on getting to La Tatacoa and avoiding two pay tolls when coming from Bogota is taking the dirt road to Pueblo Nuevo after the town of Natagaima. The landscape is great and there is a nice tunel which takes you to a bridge over the Magdalena river with really nice views. You'll arrive directly to Villavieja from where you take the road leading to the desert

Price gone up to 9,000 pp. It was 7pm and dark so we were too tired to argue. Cold showers. 3,000 beers. Not that hot. We slept fine. Owners not that friendly though, they forgot to open the side door to let us use the shower and when we tried to go round at 9:30pm they seemed annoyed that we wanted them to let us use the showers and toilets. Probably better places in Tatacoa. Desert is a beautiful though and worth the drive.
Report Check-InPrice still 7,000 per person, toilets and cold shower (bonus). It was so hot that even with our fan on we still couldn’t fall asleep till around midnight. Views are beautiful. It took us around 2.5 hours to drive the Tatacoa/Constellation loop from here.
Report Check-InAs stated previously, great views, very hot, basic amenities, 7000pp. Banos have seats & TP. poor cell reception. Nice walk in the hoodoos in the early morning.
