Flat parking with an abandoned AGVP warehouse. The warehouse offers a great set up for wind protection, worked well for our rooftent. Should work for RVs as well.
Some cars from 7am, quiet during the night.
Not a good place to spend the day, but a good solution to find protection against the wind for a night.
Excellent shelter from the wind from the AGVP., no worker here, just a building with 4 walls and a roof, nothing fancy but it can save you in case of bad wind! No water.
Report Check-InOld abandoned garage from the roadworks company. Not sexy, and definitely not clean, but very well wind protected if you're having a bad day and need somewhere sheltered to sleep or make a brew.
Report Check-InGreat spot. After spending almost 3 hours cycling at 10 km/h from Tapi Aike I decided to stop here. Had to figure out how to get in as the doors are welded. Looking at the middle, the bottom right metal shielding is attached with wires. By undoing them you can open them enough to get in. Roof seems fairly watertight, didn't even bother setting up the tent, just laid the mattress on the floor. Bring water!
Report Check-InCyclist's heaven after a long and windy day. It's a bit tricky to get inside the garage but once you made it you don't have to bother with the wind anymore (except for the noise). There is a big gravel lot as well where you could park a van but you would be absolutely visible from the road and most probably not protected from the wind.
