Description

We was the first overlanders in the place. The owners are very friendly and very interested in receive other overlanders. We talked to then about this and the prices are USD 3 pp for camping with hot shower, Wi-Fi. Located near the Cascada La Virgen. Nice and quiet place to stay some days. For those ho want the address: Calle Juan Montalvo y Rafael Vieira.

No kitchen but good garden place to park at the back, hot shower, good wifi working even in the car and energy (we found a plug in the house ar the back) , 3dolares per person, close to town.

Everything @ridesouthamerica said is still true. Cant cook, everywhere you go you feel unwelcome because of the Super rude owners, rude to guests and staff (who were nice but obviously affected by the ill treatment), terrible place for camping, no internet even if they say they have, cold water in private bathrooms even if they say they have hot water, the common bathroom has hot water but is always dirty but mostly cause its so busy, (probably because no other bathroom has hot water) Absolutely go anywhere else!!!

The hostel/camping name's now is Sabina. Friendly owners, we stay there eight nights in a rain week. Without internet connection in the last five days. U$ 3 ppn.

This place could be great but without the owner! Really bad attention. Be careful: no more outdoor kitchen, and we couldn't access to the indoor one. We couldn't put our tent where we wanted. They lied to us, pretending this place was for the outdoor table for the night..... but when the night came, nothing of course!!! We moved the tent and everything of 1 meter. We move the next day to "La petite auberge", 2 blocks before (near the kids park), 3$ pp with a kitchen, a true wifi and good feeling with the owner. For the same price, don't think twice, choose "la petite auberge".

nice place to stay, the family who live here are very friendly.

Same price. Didn't like the place but it was the best option to be in the city. Family lives there and spends time on the common areas. They also have a cat and the living room (where the wifi works) smells because of it. They lock the door at night so if you have to use the restroom you are out of luck.

The place is nothing special, one shower and bathroom (in same space) for all campers (can get very busy and not so clean)
Internet didn't work when we were there.
We were admitted with our 3 dogs, and a few hours later we were asked to leave (after we paid and put our laundry to wash). The person in charge decided the place was not pet friendly after all, although there was another person with dog. We refused to leave and they didn't insist.

Good place to stay close to the center (800 m from main square), thermal pools (1 minute walk) and to meet fellow overlanders (when we were there, there were 3 more cars). Pet friendly. The only drawback could be a rather slow wi-fi and lack of wi-fi reception in the camping area.

$3 per person (camping), $10 pp (room), $12 pp (room + breakfast).

Best place if you prefer to stay in town of banos. Great location and quite spacious for being in town with outdoor kitchen. But after checking it out we still opted to stay outside town at Pequeno Paraiso which is walkable to nicelittle town of rio verde and a few waterfalls.
