Mexico
Nice cheap hotel off the highway. 450 pesos for a two bedroom (suitable for 4 people; 400 for a room for 2 people) with a well-appointed attached bathroom. The shower has low water pressure but does get hot eventually.
We stayed here two nights when we went up north and to the desert hunting for the zone of silence which apparently is a myth something like Roswell in the States. It's a great tourist attraction and there was a guy who said we could pay him 350 pesos and he would take us to leave Zone but we rode a hundred miles on our motorcycles through the desert and talked to numerous people who said this entire area is the zone of silence.

Paid 400 pesos for a room with one bed. Nice owner, clean, cold (but weak) AC. Good option for a night.
Report Check-InPros:
The room we had was palatial in size. (We posted a video on FB and IG of the room today.)
Lots of room to park a big rig. Private lot off the street.
It's the only show in town.
Cons:
No A/C. The guys said there was "aire", and indeed there is a heat pump head in the room. But apparently none of them are hooked up. There was a fan that blew air from outside into the room, but when it's 30°C+ outside this doesn't help.
The wifi is very slow.
The water pressure is very poor. Combined with very soft water, and it takes a long time to rinse soap off. It took a few minutes, but there is hot water.
Conclusion:
There are worse places, and it's an hour to the next hotel.
