Beautiful park with gorgeous views of the mountains. $18 w/tax for electric & water. Will definitely stay here again when the opportunity arises.

Quiet, good fire pits, bathrooms (w/ showers) are clean, host on site has firewood for $8, campsites are adequately spaced. Facing east view of hills with geological striations

$10 + $4 reservation fee. Showers, no quarters/tokens needed but not very warm. Nice clean fire pit, camp hosts left us fire starter. Stayed at site 11, was very level for car camping. Reservation required. Good Verizon cell service

Some sites are pretty big but maneuvering a big rig might be tight.

The campground was full on their website. We rolled the dice anyway and traveled here. The group campsite that was vacant for a few days. They use this as a spillover area until the groups arrive on the weekends. Beautiful area too! Our site “E” had water and electric $14/night

Nice campground with clean restrooms and warm showers. Views are stunning and our site was completely level. Nice hosts and you can hang around until 14:00 / 2 PM before you have to check out. However, that also means you can't check in until after 16:00 / 4 PM.

Got a partial hook-up with electricity and water for 18 USD per night in an RV. Great price, even though it can feel a little wasteful paying for staying here, when there's plenty of BLM land where you can stay for free right in front of the campground (and lots of people did; there was at least 30 - 40 campers there during our time at the campground).

Dump station and water available right at the entrance to the state park. There's a sign saying that it is only available for campers at the campground, but I don't know whether anyone controls it.

Fabulous, clean park. Great views. Hosts are great.
Cellular service was not good.
There are walk in sites and an overflow lot. On line reservations as well. All electric sites were booked when we reserved. Very inexpensive to book. $10. Plus a $4. Reservation fee. A bargain!
Thank you.
Highly recommend if you are going to White Sands National Park.

Paid, but can get an annual pass. Walk in spots available. T-Mobile has reception but appears oversubscribed, better over night but impossible during the day, opensignal shows almost zero Mbps download, 1.20 mbps upload, and 188 ms ping. Starlink connected without issues, 100 Mbps down. The dish aims a bit more up due to the mountains being close, but they don't block the antenna.

Paid, but can get an annual pass. Walk in spots available, site 21 is a walk in with water and electricity. We had a site without electricity. Camp hosts very active, they came by to say hi and make sure we had the proper payment/annual pass even though we arrived after dark. Once this was checked, we have seen them very active in maintenance, trash removal, and even enforcing generator usage rules after hours. They were kind and friendly.

T-Mobile has reception but appears to be oversubscribed, a bit better overnight but impossible during the day, OpenSignal shows almost zero mbps download, 1.20 mbps upload, and 188 ms ping. If you work remotely and rely on T-Mobile, you won't be able to work here.

Starlink connected without issues, around 100 Mbps down, 70s ms ping, upload was under 5 Mbps, but that is unrelated to the location. The dishy aims a bit more up due to the mountains being close and covering some of the angle, but they don't show up as an obstruction in the app. Excellent place to work remotely with amazing views if you have a Starlink setup.

Nice camping with mountain and desert views. 6-7 first come first served sites (rv and tent) but arrive early, they go quickly. 10$ for tent, 14$ for rv. Otherwise book online ahead of time. Nice toilets/ free hot showers, firewood 8$ with host. You can borrow bumb boards for free to surf the white sands! Very windy for tent however…

As described. A little nicer than I expected, with the lush desert plants providing some separation between sites. Shower hot and free. All sites must be reserved online, $14/night for tent site

The visitor center info about the guy this park is named after is amusing, as it seems to be painting him as a real good dude, kinda vague on specifics, when other sources suggest he was a cattle rustler in league with the local sheriff (later convicted of felonies while in Congress) and possibly a murderer. Ahh, history!

Beautiful views. Clean facilities. Sites well separated. Generators allowed 7am to 10pm (sadly). Not great T mobile cell service. Very slow.

1/21/22 stayed there last night as I was heading to white sands on 1/21. Great camp spot. Right against the mountains about 30 min from white sands. 10 dollars for car/tent camping. Showers where open. Definitely going back if ever in the area. Clean campsites sorry no photos of actual campsite.

Nice place with good bathrooms and showers. All campsites must be reserved at ReserveAmerica - no wandering in. At least that’s what the signs say.

Site 26. 7:30pm quiet . Camp host is across the street and gone inside. Small family just below us . Dad’s cooking and kids are playing. Very nice quiet state run campground. Place is clean. I have water and 30amp service. Nice views

Must make online reservations now associated with covid, making cheapest site $14 ($4 reservation fee) but showers are allowed now and the campsite is quiet and clean and was a great option for me since showers are still closed in gyms in New Mexico. (Oh, dump station is currently closed, but that was a non- issue for me - no known date of reopening)

AMAZING little campground. All the hosts are very nice !
Dry sites are 10$ a night. We were there on the weekend and some still available. Sites with electricity were full!

We arrived at 2h30 and had the last powered place 14 dollar
Number 6 with path to the bathroom with hot showers. Very clean.

Very nice place. Quiet, with a view. Good restrooms. Only $10 for a dry site, $14 with power. Trails for hiking around.

Great place. Level tent spots. Can’t get stakes in the ground though. Had to use large rocks to weight down gear.

First stop in New Mexico coming from Texas. Great views of the Sacramento mountains. Hiked Dog Canyon trail, long hike and no one else around. Campsites spaced out and near water and toilets. Staying for 5 days, worth the visit.

We were in need of showers and decided to camp here for the night instead of near by wild camping. We reserved online and it was $10 plus $4 fee. We are not on a hook-up site although those are available. Shower was warm and great pressure, just what we needed.

Beautiful views, decent hot showers. Flush toilets only in “comfort station” (with showers) otherwise drop toilet nearby.
$10 a night for tent site. Some sites have shelters over the tables, when we got there those were all full.
Great stars at night but also very windy! Our tent blew over...

New Mexico State Park. Established sites, some w/shelters, some w/hookups. Cheapest $10 / night. Beautiful cliffs to east and great hiking up Dog Canyon. Not a remote wild camp but comfortable if you're looking for showers, etc.
