Bolivia
Very nice, large flat campground, share dorms, private rooms and tree houses very close to centre of Samaipata. Under construction.
It has a kitchen, hot showers, nice atmosphere, friendly owner, WiFi right in campground.
20BOB per person to camp
80BOB for a tree house.
200BOB for a 4 person room with private kitchen and bathroom.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The place is improving. The staff is very friendly. Prive is still 20 pp for camping. The camping spots are nice and have light and electricity for recharge your phone or others.
Showers are hot, kitchen a little bit old but has everything you need to cook and be happy.
The positives: location is very close to town centre and there were puppies here.
The negatives: this place is unhygienicly dirty... bathrooms appear to have never had a proper clean and the other guests at the hostel and campsite are clearly not the type to keep things tidy. The one and only toilet near the camping area was like a murder scene... non functional and was not cleaned while we were there (approx 20hrs). The one "hot" shower we were told we could use by the unfriendly staff member was so dirty. I'm ok with roughing it but this place is a health hazard
The road to the camping really is in bad condition, wouldn‘t go there when it is rainy, as it is steep and bumpy.
Camping place is a grassy field with some sand parts. Toilets and showers are a little bit rundown. Hot showers only in the upper part (near the hostel). Walking distance to town center in a few minutes. We paid 20 BOL p.p.n.
the road to this place is so completely unacceptable when it's dry... I can't imagine wet.
Report Check-InTypical backpackers hostel. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Hot showers. Nice place to set up camp. Agree with the previous posts that the kitchen is frequently dirty despite regular cleaning by the owners. Location is great next to the market. If you like the vibe and can forget some annoyances, than this is a great place to spend some days.
Report Check-InGreat Location. 1 minute walk and you are at a great market! Plenty of space. The bathroom at the campsite area was clean enough for us. Floor gets a bit muddy but that can't be helped much. Charged 20 bs for each person including the 5 year old. Internet didn't work while we were there but the 3G signal was strong.
Report Check-In20 BOB per person per night to camp. Ok facilities, I couldn't get any hot water out of the shower, only lukewarm at most. Good location. Toilets and kitchen could definitely be tidied/smartened up a bit. Friendly staff.
Report Check-InBackpackers place with basic standard. Facilities rather not clean. However the localization is great: about 3 min from market and center.
Report Check-InIt's a real backpackers place. We liked it. Lots of space, quiet, good location, price, atmosphere and even wifi was good. But the kitchen, toilets and showers were very dirty. So if you like spotless, don't come here.
Report Check-InJoli terrain pour camper à 100m du marché 20B/p tranquille et sur.
Report Check-InNice original place, but not too well maintained. We didn't stay as it was the first rainy day. The last 100m is a bit steep and muddy. As we didn't want to get stuck with more rain, we decided to try to get up again, and we hardly made it with our 2x4 fiesta van.... so, if rainy, check the place on foot instead of getting down by car to avoid that you are obliged to stay overnight because you can't get out anymore...
Report Check-Ingood place with plenty of space. 20 pppn. showers were pretty clean and nicely warm. WiFi was on and off but when it worked it was good. make sure your GPS routes you in from the south, so not from the village/market side. that is a tiny pedestrian path only.
Report Check-InA large flat field to camp in with electricity hook ups, water, some shade and good internet at campsites. Laundry is 30bob per load. shared kitchen available, hot showers, banos, small shop. Very friendly owners Pablo and Maya. kid friendly and a 2 main walk to town- very convenient! "Under construction" is a bit of a euphemism for "slightly dirty and unkempt", but very chilled place we highly recommend! Note that last 100m of access is difficult, but we made it in our low clearance French campervan.
Report Check-InBig nice place close to the little nice pueblo.the last meters of dirt road to get to the place, is uneven, highclearence is good.internet realy slow in the time we visite the place
Report Check-In40 bs para duas pessoas. Apenas um chuveiro quente e banheiro. Grama muito alta e muito barro. Onde ficam os carros/motorhome ha apenas um ponto de luz. Então traga extensão bem grande.
Report Check-InVery big space for big rigs. , long hose available to fill up tank of our camper. Wifi reached the lot where we parked perfectly but there were many people using it so it was a bit slow. Hot shower with good water pressure, toilets with seats! Place is under construction still. Very nice owners, pet friendly, and still 20bob per person :) very good! Use of kitchen available too for the price
Report Check-In80 Bol (2 persons) for stay in tree-house! really great place! with Internet access, kitchen ...
Report Check-InMuy cómodo y cerca del centro. Buen wifi, ducha caliente, cocina y amplio espacio para campers y Motor home. Pablo, su dueño, muy amable. 20 Bol por persona para carpa o motor home. Buen opción!
Report Check-In20 bl pp in a tend. wifi. hot shower. kitchen. laundry. non potable water. great staff.
no extra charge for two bikes.
Nice place to stay, very friendly. It took us 3 hours to get there from Santa Cruz. 15 min walking is a refuge for animals that also rent horses. 140 Bob for two horses two hours (very cheap). You can also visit the bodega 1750, Nice walk.
Report Check-InNice place very close to town. You enter from the southern end of the road (maps.me might want to take you from the north end by the market, but this is a walking track). Plenty of room to camp in the field, and you can get wifi better down there, but you have to climb the hill to use the facilities. It's a cute spot, and cheap for the location. 20bob a night, pp.
Report Check-InThe tree houses here look awesome and are 80BOB per night.
4 of us shared the self contained room on the second level for 200BOB per night with kitchen and bathroom.
Nice place just outside the centre with a short walk that enters the town via the street markets - easy access to fresh produce.
Has wifi near Pablo's (owners) house and a public computer in the communal dinning/kitchen area.
friendly place & a peaceful night. Access is down a short rough track and very tight for big-rigs. May fit in the bottom field, but this is probably not the best place for you if you are 6+m long.
Report Check-InBackpackers place. So expect some dreadlocks and guitars. It has a large ground below, but we stayed up next to entrance. We had some dogs bark all night.. Facilities ok for the price, 20bob per person.
Report Check-InIt is a very nice campground. The Owner speaks english an his wife french.
Report Check-InLovely friendly campsite with helpful owners - he helped to fix our shock absorber that got broken on the road from Sucre. 20 bs per person. Not really suitable for large rigs.
Report Check-InSimple Campground near centre of Samaipata. It has a kitchen, hot showers, nice atmosphere, friendly owner. No Wifi. 15BOB per person in low season.
