Latest Check-Ins

Estrella Road CLOSED TEMPORARY!! as of today 3/9/23. Ranger knocked on my door yesterday. gave me one day to leave. closed due to proposed construction. sign had been posted for months but I thought it was old. not sure when area will reopen. check BLM Website

Report Check-In

The road into this BLM site has been damaged/loosened from OHV dune buggies. So, just dont go too slow or you will be spinning your wheels. Once you pull off the road to make a spot for your RV the ground is hard packed. The site is nice and beautiful, but not spectacular. Shooting debris and broken/smashed beer bottles are everywhere, but it doesn't detract too much from the sites attractiveness. There are close peaks to the west and valley and distant peaks to the east. There is good T-Mobile 5G signal at this BLM site near Estrella. Also, Maricopa and Casa Grande are close with Walmarts, Fry's, Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, and Amazon Hub Lockers(Circle K). We drove in 1 mile to the smaller hill on the right. Auto traffic noise is zero here, and trains are audible if listened for. Wood for fires is sparse. There are few tall cactuses and fewer trees. Thus, there is no shade. Sunsets are beautiful with the Maricopa Mountains being illuminated at sundown. All in all not a bad home for 2 weeks.

Report Check-In

Lots of pull out spots. You might want to pre-walk your spot for broken glass. 3 bars of 5G cell service. Distant train noise and courteous ATV riders early Saturday morning.

Report Check-In

Sweet spot. Stayed two nights, no one bothered me - actually saw barely anyone. Really calm and nice scenery.

Report Check-In

Small but a great spot for a night or two. Beautiful mountains and lots of vegetation around. Train noise but tolerable. When you have a place for Free in Nature use it responsibly. Always pack it in and pack it out.

Report Check-In

Beautiful area. The dirt road is in pretty good shape for the first mile or two, just take it slow. Most RVs would be fine until you get to the hill on the right side of the road. Then it gets rougher and I wouldn't take a trailer past that point. Sandy ground and not too many cactus spikes, easy on the paws. There's some noise from the train, but it didn't bother me. Occasional horse riders and hikers and ATVs. Good Verizon LTE service.

Report Check-In

Dispersed camping sites along dirt BLM roads. Gates currently open. Easy to be isolated. Full cell service on Verizon.

Report Check-In

Good camping just off pavement. Unfortunately roads into BLM land are closed due to damage by OHVs. Despite a previous post, this site is not, "literally next to a correctional facility" and there are no marauding inmates running about. Other than some traffic & train noise, it's a decent camping spot.

Report Check-In

Open and close the wire fence and park upto the no motorised access sign Quieter night stop no correction facility and no exploding pipelines in this national park. free, hot, safe

Report Check-In

Arrived at night and was going to stay, but found out it was right next to the Arizona corrections facility (like right next to it). Decided not to stay. Also google maps had me drive through a “dangerous pipeline area”. VERY bad vibes here. Good luck if you’re brave.

Report Check-In

This is just a trailhead on the side of the road. The Monument is closed to motorized vehicle access. The only places to camp are right near the road. Railroad tracks run parellel to the road so trains run through and the road is busy so not the quietest place.

Report Check-In

Excellent spot, beautiful scenery. A bit noisy but nothing horrible. We spent 2 nights here. There might be a little barrier when you arrive, you just need to open it and enter, and close it again once you have parked.

Report Check-In

No good, long train Travel aller nightclub, ans the road very noise , rug straps. Landscap no exceptionnel. No liké.

Report Check-In
