Something not right?

Description

We consider this just a one night step to catch the ferry at Bocas del Toro next day before noon, but the place and hiking trails of the Fortuna Forest Reserve are so nice that we extend an extra day here. ELSA the keeper is very nice and will allow you to stay camping for 10$ per night. At the entrance you have gorgeous space in a grassi area under trees that will protect from strong wind at night. Big rigs maybe have difficulties in the narrow entrance. 2 or maybe 3 cars could fit in.

Cuando llegamos estaba cerrado, nadie respondió al número de teléfono del letrero. Ningún cartel ni señal.

Report Check-In

Coming from the south, wait to see signs on the road to find the entrance. The first two tracks are useless.

nice place to relax.
the road from the highway is narrow, steep and covered with low brunches. our lance camper barely made it.

We arrived here after crossing from Costa Rica. Super quiet and no other guests around since it is low season. Payed 10$ per night for two persons. Owner is an older lady who only speaks Spanish but is super friendly (gave us some coffee and cookies after a long day of driving). Entrance is a steep road up and somewhat slippery when wet, so would recommend 4x4 as well. If it's dry season you should be fine. Tons of birds and nature around.

Report Check-In

We arrived here in the afternoon. You really need a 4x4 to come here.
It’s very nice and the owner is very friendly. The door was closed but when we asked if it’s open she said yes. We came here with our van. Some places to park and some cabins. But we don’t use the cabin and pay $10.- for one night. The wc didn’t work and no shower. Slow wifi. But this place is really beautiful, quiet and in the nature!
I took a picture of the phone number 6211 0318. That could help to know if there is any place. (Picture attached)

We slept here 1 night in our way to Bocas del Toro. Paid 10 dollars and could use the shower of a cabana. The place is quiet and beautiful, but if you sleep in a tent there is a LOT of wind. We slept inside our car and it was fine.
