Description

there are plenty of pull outs along green valley road. this one has a very good view of the ocean. keep in mind there are only pull out along this road up to this point (from ocean) as all other dirt roads have been blocked off. it's a good place to sleep and view the stars, but nothing more.

Not much to add that others haven't said - loads of space, lovely view. Few others stayed in the spot. Car camped no problem. Dont forget to take trash away with you.

flat, great views. was pretty windy earlier in evening but died down

Nice location to pull off on this pass over the mountains coming from highway 1 to the valley.

Of course some noise, but mitigated with ear plugs. Nice flat area, very little incline. Nice views in the morning.

I'm sure it's not any van lyfers allowing this much rubbish to be dispersed....

monkey see, monkey do. if you see some trash, pick it up. people are less likely to toss shit out if there isn't already shit.

Otherwise great view and level parking. if you stare upon the ocean long enough, the road noise becomes waves crashing. mmm white noise.

Surprisingly large pull out which was overal better than expected; yeah it can get a lot of wind, but half of the pull out is lined with trees which block quite a lot of wind. Traffic noise is not too bad, had a good nights sleep, even without earplugs, and woke up to amazing views 🤙🏼Good option if you’re travelling highway 1!

Nice spot for an overnight stay. Parked here around 930PM, one van and two cars showed up between 10-1130pm for the night. I was alone by 7am the next morning when I left.

Good signal on T-Mobile, nearest amenities about 15 minutes in either direction.

Nice big pullout with stunning view. Near busy road. Reasonable cell reception. Minimal shade.

This is the pullout furthest from US-1 along CA-46, about 8 miles up. It seems larger than the others and it has some trees and rocks around the perimeter which provide shelter from the wind. Parking alongside those trees, I was at least a hundred feet from the road so the noise was not bad. The view was wonderful, too. All in all an excellent place to stop for the night.

Lots of road traffic, also given these pullouts are atop a ridge line it was pretty windy. Beautiful morning, no regrets parking the rig here!

As others have said, pretty spacious pull out, amazing view, where cops don't seem to mind your presence (multiple drove past while I was here and gave no trouble). That being said it does seem to be a popular place,, three rigs, myself tent camping, and a car stayed overnight. Along with that a half a dozen or so folks stopped by to check out the sunset, all good people, but definitely something to keep in mind if solitude is your goal. Good service, good distance to town, lots of road noise.

Nice stay...ended up staying twice in a row. Huge pullout with room for multiple rigs. We stayed in our Land Rover with rooftop tent and there were a few other vehicles doing the same. Definitely keeping this spot in mind for when we’re in the area.

WAY nicer than expected. Gorgeous views, pull off is very wide. QuiET and peaceful. I’m writing from San Simeon State Park where kids are running through my campsite which ran me $42. This spot: FREE. 🤣

Very large pullout. Morro Bay visible in the distance. Few cars drive by at night, no one bothered me. There’s a small flat spot behind one of the boulders where you could potentially pitch a tent.

great quiet spot off road a little. Some trees to protect from winds. Stayed 1 night.

Biggest pull off I’ve seen by far. It’s hidden by trees and you can pull up pretty far from the main road. Slept well!
