Something not right?

Description

It is used on weekends by locals and the owner can still come and charge like 20.000 for a night. Tables and chairs, toilet... but everything is out of service and broken. Some old campfires. if it has rained there is running water to use for cooking.
This area is big, but not flat. Just a small place for the tent. you can look up a place for a van that is most even.
Perfect location, close to the sea, a lot of trees could protect from wind and rain.Very close to this point, if you follow the road through Pargua, a small waterfall. For me was a perfect night, very very quiet, and safe.
At this point, from Puerto Montt, this is the end of gravel road, and beginning of asphalt.

we decided to spend another night here since the previous one was ao nice. this time a man came to us. one of the same who talked to us 2 days ago. this time he told us we need to pay 20.000 pesos to stay. we were already there for a couple of hours. he closed the entrance with some wires and sticks. we couldn't get away. we negociated for a while and we had to pay 10.000 of we left now. or 15.000 if we stayed till tomorrow. he was still kind, but this wasn't reasonable for a place without electricity. we payed the 15.000 so we didn't have to look for another place anymore. it was allready getting dark. but be warned: it is possible that you have to pay if you want to stay here.

great place. abandoned campsite. we couldnt find anyone to ask. but there was no fence so we decided to just camp here. in the weekends the locals come here to enjoy the beach, play soccer, have bbq, etc. we stayed here on a Friday. after an hour or so, an old man came walking toward us. we thougt we had to pay and asked him if it is oke to stay here for the night. that was no problem. we talked for a while (in Spanish) amd offerd him some wine. he enjoyed talking and after he left some other people came to talk to us. after 15 minutes the old man came back with a basket full of seafruit. mossels, something called mapisol? he prepared it for us to enjoy. it was delicious! we had a good time here and could sleep here very well.

we also camped at the place in the right side when you come down the road. local told us that the 'abandoned' is private land and that the owner comes and charges a lot (talked about 20'000pp, but I don't think that's true). we should better stay at the place at the entrance.

Report Check-In

A really great place! A little bit of traffic on the gravel road but not disturbing. Some locals came to enjoy the sunset.

The entrance is a bit hidden in the trees.
If you go down there, the campground is on the path to the left.
There are other spots directly on the right of the entrance path.

I saw dolphins in the bay that came for dinner.
