Worst mechanic shop in 1.5y travelling.

We came for a deffective ball bearing and left our Jeep in their shop. It seemed that the ball bearing had worn out the rear axle.
2 days after we could resume our trip down the 40 with a new bearing and a lathed axle since no spare part was available.
After less than 300km we got stranded in the snow with a broken axle and had to be towed to the mechanic in El Calafate.
Apparently they had not tighten correctly the axle bolts which lead us to buy a new complete set of pieces plus brake pads and discs for a total of more than 1500usd and 2 weeks waiting for spare parts.
Their lack of responsibility put us in danger and they denied all accountability. No support was offered

We bought oil here, was pretty expensive…. 150$ for 8L mobil oil…
They take back oil but refused to dispose filters…

very very busy on a saturday noon (they close at 13.00), but still helped us to diagnose the problem and find the correct parts, running around between clients. We found an alternator belt and halfmoon-pin to lock alternator wheel, both in wrong sizes, but it made us continue further which we were very grateful for. I also recommend Paco at taller lago cardiel, he adjusted the pieces and is a very recommendable machanic.

Nice shop were we found rare pieces for our Kombi. Good advice from the guys. And we could even return the parts which could not fit the next day!
