Something not right?

Description

You’ll see it on your right if you are going to the mountain. Beautiful view and very quiet during night. There are some fire pits and a small sanctuary for the virgin.

Latest Check-Ins

We came here and found it was lovely, dogs could be free and we could go for hikes.
Then around 7pm the police showed up, they expressed concern for us being there saying that is could not be safe. Basically a potential to be robbed.
We told him we had hoped to spend two nights there.
We asked if we should leave (didn’t want to because it was after dark) but the one officer Carlos said he would patrol area, left his direct contact number. Mentioned maybe not have fire (although cold, as we could be seen) and asked if we would also call in the morning when we woke up.
Due to one dog being restless and now the bug in our ear of possible holdup, we did not sleep as well.
We left after one night so we didn’t have to have a second night of dale thoughts.
It was nice and peaceful otherwise.
Maybe just go higher up the mountain
To bad really. They asked for nothing of us and seemed genuine in his concern, his English was really good.

Report Check-In

Very calm (Fiesta day so some fireworks) but very calm and easy to find. Firepits are still here. View of the mountain of orizaba

Report Check-In

We tried to get to this spot but I think our GPS brought us the wrong way. We had such a scenic drive but never made it. You might find yourself driving above the clouds. Didn’t realize how cold it would be and we weren’t prepared for cold camping

Report Check-In

Just as described. Quiet, cold, and wonderful.
Got here before sunset- then drove up to the Mountain guide campsite just to look around- he said he was full for the weekend- but assured us the area was very safe.
We had a restful evening- wish we would have stayed more nights- as we drove away from the amazing mountain.
