Latest Check-Ins

A nice campsite with good facilities, close to entrance of the Lake Mburo park. There was a large overlanding truck coming while we were there but the owner warned us when we were booking. We didn't mind and found a quiet spot. We stayed 2 nights. Lots of Zebra about and we saw leopard on the night drive in the park . $10 pppn.

Lovely stay, nice grassy spots. Shady lounge and restaurant with good wifi. It was sunny so excellent hot showers. Good dirt road, in lots of zebras about. Still $10pp

Whole camp runs on solar power. Solar water heaters at showers, wi-fi at the main building, sharging station at the main building both floors since there are inverters from solar to 220, limited, depends on a sunshine. New kitchen for Overlanders was built.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, hot showers by solar, chill atmosphere, quite some people around. $10 pax per night, had a cool time here.

Report Check-In

we stayed here for 1 night - 10$ pp. the space for camping is completely flat. ablutions were clean, hot water is solar powered so probably not always working properly. electricity to charge anything only in the main building. very close to the entrance of the national park.

Report Check-In

This campsite is very close to the entrance of the park. You need to drive a while on a dirt road to get there.
For us this campsite was a bit too alternative. Yoga and hippie style things.
No hot water and no electricity.
USD 10 pppn for camping. Considering the lack of facilities this is too expensive.

Nice campsite with your own RTT or ground tent. $10/pppn. Clean ablutions. Some of the permanent tents here looked run down, not worth it. They actually do have a wifi (at least it shows up in the upstairs restaurant), but they don’t allow you to use it (it’s ”just for their business”): a bit inconvenient. You can charge your devices only in the downstairs restaurant, in just one spot (solar power).
Stayed 2 nights on our way to Bwindi. Didn’t try the restaurant. Showers are on solar, too, so if there is not enough sun, it’s a cold shower. However, the other day was sunny for hours on end and still no hot shower, so no hot shower for 2 days and they still were reluctant to give a discount. Only after a negotiation, we agreed on $8/pppn. We were the only customers, so it was quiet, but if there are a lot of people, the campsite would be noisy.

As described, only solar power, It is not possible to connect to electricity. 10$ pppn

Spent 1 comfortable night here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Showers are hot and clean. Campsites are nice and level and relatively secluded. The bar/restaurant is a nice setting. We paid 10usd pppn for camping

Very beautiful campsite ($15pppn). Beautiful view. Very very good chef for diner and breakfast. We did a bike tour in the park (we did not even ask to negotiate for more than two ours as we were the only guests the ranger was so happy to continue until the lake and have a fresh drink there. 5h in total and really worth it!). There is a pool table and many games for kids. Laundry 10000 UGX. No wifi.

Report Check-In

Grassy spots to choose from in between bushes, no views from the campsite but at the restaurant on the deck you can look all around. Plenty of zebra and impala to be seen from the road coming here. Camping still 10USD, 3 course dinner 10USD or just a main for 7USD, excellent fish curry! The showers have a solar geiser so with days of rain non stop it is unfortunately cold but a good place to rest a bit.

Lovely camp. We were only guests (Covid). Good toilet block and warm showers. $10 pp.

Report Check-In

Lovely setting, neat and tidy friendly staff. Food was delicious! Unfortunately there were 2 overland trucks who took up all the camping space and we were placed on the s field. Better management of the overland trucks required if they are to keep single visitors I think

A very nice place to stay overnight if you are going to Lake Mburo national park or if you use it as a stopover before continuing to Rwanda (as we did). Very nice staff, and very good dinner; 3-course dinner is $10, we choose to only order main course which is $7. There’s a daily set menu with both meat and vegetarian options. Only disadvantage is that the toilets and bathrooms are a few minutes walking from the campsite, which is a bit inconvenient in the night. At this moment the lodge is building a new toilet building at the campsite.

What a nice place to stay! Enough flat space for cars with RTT and clean facilities with warm showers in the evening (solar heater). Great restaurant and bar area with comfy seating possibilities and a really nice view. You can play pool and there is a slackline in the garden and a bonfire at night time. Super friendly staff.

Bush camp and a number of covered tents and safari cottages. They were refurbishing the restaurant and reception building. Not that nice camping as others defined it. Cows are grazing around your tent and unfortunately cow poop. Toilets with flush water, but in the morning no water in the showers and definitely no hot water. When my wife wanted to try a shower, not covered no roof, a man working at the water reservoir behind was staring at her and did not move even when asked. 10$ ppn but we complained about the lack of showers and got a reduction 7$ppn. The diner was fine 10$ pp for a three course menu.

Very nice place in the middle of the bush 5m outside the park. You may see already zebras impalas whordogs and a lot of bighorn cows.
food is absolutely excellent.
Bush Toilette Bush Shower Hot water if donkey is heated.
Extremely nice and helpful staff.
If you like bushcamping at his best and a campfire at night this the best place to stay. In case you need a pool there is an other Lodge nearby but we weren't there.
